Rothenberg Ventures is a Silicon Valley VC, also previously known as Frontier Technology Venture Capital. Based in San Francisco, the VC was also a spin-off from River Ecosystem. Founded with seed capital of $5m raised by Mike Rothenberg in 2012, the firm has invested in more than 100 startups in VR/AR, AI, machine learning, drones, robotics and space. In 2016, the VC and its founder were investigated by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. In 2018, Rothenberg himself and the VC were charged with fraud. Rothenberg has resigned from the firm and agreed to be barred from the brokerage and investment advisory business for five years. The SEC is seeking $18.8m disgorgement penalties and $9m civil penalty plus $3.7m pre-judgement interest.

Jiang Tong obtained bachelor's degrees in Civil Engineering from Tongji University and Control Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University between 2011 and 2016. Upon graduation, he joined a robotics startup founded by a team from Zhejiang university, Shanghai Seer Robotics Technology, working as an algorithm engineer from 2016 to 2017. He then joined Bumie Tech in 2017. He specializes in simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) and location algorithm. Jiang now serves as CTO at Onesight.

Established in 1995 by Sean O'Sullivan, SOSV is a venture capital firm with six attached accelerator programs. Upon receiving investment from SOSV, portfolio companies join one of the accelerator programs that best suits their products. Oscar Serra is a co-founder and co-CEO as well as a big-data scientist at Deep Solutions, a producer of deep neural network software for image recognition. He combines this role with a multi-disciplinary management role in his family's €15m-revenue industrial machinery company Serra Workshops, where he has worked since 2010. Prior to this, he worked at Honda Research Institute Europe in Germany as a software programmer for one year, and as a PhD researcher in computer vision, deep learning and neural networks at Barcelona's Institute of Robotics and Industrial Information Systems (IRI). Serra has a total of five Master's degrees: Programming, Robotics, Neuroscience, Computer Vision, and an MBA. He has studied at Hult International Business School in San Francisco,  Lumière University Lyon 2 in France, at Barcelona's IRI and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. 

Everis is a Madrid-based consulting firm that was acquired in 2014 by Japan's NTT Data, the sixth-largest IT services company in the world. With a turnover of €1.17bn, the company offers consultancy services in banking, healthcare, industry, insurance, media, public sector and telecommunications across Europe, in Latin America and the US.  The company has established an innovation center, NextGen, focusing on technologies that drive business disruption, such as, Cloud models, Blockchain, Big Data, AI and Robotics. 

Founded in 1993, WI Harper Group is a venture capital firm investing in early to growth stage companies across the US, Greater China and Asia Pacific. The group has invested in more than 400 companies in the fields of healthcare, biotech, artificial intelligence, robotics, fintech, sustainability and new media. It manages seven venture capital funds with over 100 successful IPO and M&A exits. With three strategic offices in San Francisco, Beijing and Taipei, the group seeks investment opportunities both in the US and Asia.

Sergio Sanchez is the CTO and co-founder of Widuid that was later re-branded as Polaroo, a Spanish household bill management app. He spent eight months working on building the MVP with the Rovira brothers in 2017.The mechanical engineer also completed a master's in Automatic Control and Robotics at his alma mater, the Polytechnic Degree of Barcelona. Like fellow co-founder Marc Rovira, Sanchez was also at space tech startup Zero2Infinity working as a full stack developer and HMI engineer. He has also worked in biotech company Fungitech Global as a mechanical engineer. 

Kang Hongwen earned his doctoral degree in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2006 to December 2012. Prior to that, he was a research intern for more than a year at Microsoft Research Asia, during which time he worked on video content analysis, video synthesis, and was part of a team that was awarded a US patent for spacetime montage. An algorithm he worked on was shipped into the Windows XP Media Center Edition. Kang subsequently interned at Intel Research Seattle and Microsoft Research Redmond. In December 2013, he founded Hunch.ai, the company that created the AI-based, cloud video platform Zen Video.   

With a degree in Mechanics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Xu Zhenhua has over 10 years of experience in robotics R&D. He previously worked as a senior R&D engineer at FANUC Robotics and the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, a joint venture between General Motors and SAIC Motor. Xu and Alex Gu co-founded Jinghe Robot in 2012 and Fourier Intelligence in 2015. Xu served as CTO at Fourier Intelligence from 2015 to 2018, at which time he left to found new exoskeleton startup ULS Robotics.

Baidu Ventures (BV) was launched as an AI-investment arm of online search and internet conglomerate Baidu in September 2016. It has regional headquarters in Beijing and Silicon Valley. With a phase-I fund of US$200m, it focuses on early-stage AI-startups.In San Francisco, BV's non-strategic fund focuses on the AI and robotics sectors providing pre-seed to Series B funding. Headed by Saman Farid as partner since November 2017, the US team manages investments in over 70 startups including Airmap, Covariant.ai, Atomwise, 8i and Subtle Medical.

Founded in 1995, Shenzhen Sunrise New Energy Co. Ltd., formerly known as Shenzhen Rainbow Fine Chemical Industry Co. Ltd., was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2008. Its main lines of business include Lithium-ion battery, photovoltaic power generation and New Energy bus operation. In 2016, it set up a fund to invest in autonomous driving, wireless charging, advanced parking management, artificial intelligence and robotics sectors.

PowerCloud Venture Capital was founded in 2014 by UAV manufacturer PowerVision Group, Innovation Angel Funds and Beijing Jiaxun Feihong Electrical Co., Ltd. It invests mainly in early-stage startups in the robotics, drone, artificial intelligence and big data sectors.

Patrick Synge has lived in Spain for eight years since he left Britain after studying music at Warwick School. He has worked in sales since graduating from the University of the West of England. He started his sales career at Euro Sports Media and deVere Group.  Synge was the head of sales at food-delivery startup Degustabox before joining Eliport as co-founder and director of partnerships. He and co-founder Dmitry Skorinko created Eliport to solve the last-mile delivery problem by using autonomous delivery robots in local neighborhoods. Since March 2019, Synge has also joined Alias Robotics as VP for sales.
