Co-founder and CTO of Storial
Sofia Lu graduated in Information Technology in 2012 at Bina Nusantara University. She has also worked as a teaching assistant and researcher at the university during her degree course. In July 2013, she joined online travel agency Tiket.com as a lead developer. In 2015, her passion for books eventually led her to become the CTO and co-founder of Storial, a digital storytelling portal for writers.

Portuguese national Sofia Nunes holds a bachelor’s in psychology from the Higher Institute of Applied Psychology in Lisbon and a master’s in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently head of Talent & Culture at Mambu, a startup she co-founded, where she supports a growing team of engineers, application specialists, salespeople and marketers. In 2010, Nunes worked as a Human-Computer Interaction researcher at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology.

Former journalist Sofia Simões de Almeida graduated from New University of Lisbon with degrees in Law and Communication Sciences. In 2010, she became a founding member and editor at Lead Magazine. After working at Human Resources Portugal in Lisbon, she founded HR startup "Make it Happy" in 2012 that was incubated at Startup Lisboa.In 2014, she co-founded Line Health and worked at the healthtech as COO until the company was closed down in 2018. Pessanha co-founded Unbabel in 2013 and was its CMO, before leaving the startup in August 2016 to join healthcare marketplace Care Revolutions as COO in Los Angeles. She is also a co-founder of Lisbon-based accelerator and NGO Beta-i and of energy tech startup ActualSun and was also Director at the Founder Institute in Lisbon.
