Pedro Bizarro
Pedro Bizarro is Chief Science Officer and co-founder at Feedzai, the world’s market-leading solution in fighting online fraud and the fourth Portuguese unicorn, where he has worked full-time since 2008, from before its official launch. He is also a member of the Forbes Technology Council and a member of the IEEE’s Algorithmic Bias Working Group.
His previous background involved working in academia in various posts. He spent five years at the University of Coimbra, where fellow Feedzai co-founder Nuno Sebastião was once his student, and occasionally taught at the US Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to these, he was a research assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the US.
Bizarro holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
