CEO and Founder of Fourier Intelligence
Upon graduating from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Mechanics, Alex Gu joined National Instruments, where he worked on data collection, signal processing, instrument testing and system integration. He started developing rehab robots in 2009 and founded Jinghe Robot in 2012. The startup, developer of rehab robot Flexbot, was acquired by rehab device manufacturer QJ Rehab in 2015. Gu founded Fourier Intelligence in July 2015 and has served as CEO ever since.

Getting access to a computer in his elementary school piqued Márcio Colunas’s interest in informatics. This led to a degree in Computer and Telematics Engineering at the University of Aveiro, where he carried out research and development in biomedical systems. His work was integral to his career, having co-founded SWORD Health, a technology company disrupting medical-physical rehabilitation. Born in 1987, Colunas is also a co-founder of Findster Technologies, the company behind the Findster Duo GPS pet tracker.

Aryo Wiryawan is a serial entrepreneur who was already working as a director at PT Prima Citra Informatika before graduating from Universitas Islam Indonesia in 2004. However, he left the IT services company in 2007 to start various ventures, including a restaurant, a photography business and a land rehabilitation firm PT Indmira.Aryo had also acquired some shrimp farming experience since 2001 and started using Indmira as a vehicle to collaborate with Atnic to develop IoT sensors for shrimp farms. Indmira and Atnic eventually created and launched Jala in late 2015.

Bento graduated from the University of Aveiro with a master’s in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, and went on to pursue a PhD in Electrical Engineering. There, he developed SWORD Phoenix which would go on to be the technology behind SWORD Health, a startup Bento founded and of which he is currently CEO. Bento is also a co-founder of Findster Technologies, a dual pet tracker and fitness tech.

It is an integrated health platform comprising physical hospitals and online medical services. As to its rehabilitation for intensive illnesses, for example, Haier Medical has rehabilitation hospitals that offer both physical treatment and Internet-based consultation so that patients spend less time there than in a normal medical facility. Besides rehabilitation, Haier Medical also focuses on cancer treatment, aged care services, and family health management services. Overall, it has a network of 16 hospitals with 8,000 beds, serving over 1m people every year.
