Yangtze Delta Region Research Institute of Tsinghua University, Zhejiang was co-founded by the provincial government of Zhejiang and Tsinghua University in 2003 for tech transfer. It has set up over 50 R&D platforms in the areas of life sciences, digital creativity, information technology and ecological environment and 11 offshore incubators in the US, UK, Germany and Australia. The institute manages over RMB 7.5bn of assets and also makes investments through its sub-funds with a total size of more than RMB 10bn. So far, it has incubated and invested in over 2,500 companies, 35 of whom have gone public or been acquired by listed companies.

TusPark Technology Asset Management Co., Ltd., and TusPark Business Incubator Co., Ltd., were both founded in 2001 as the investment arms of Tsinghua Science Park. Affiliated with Tsinghua University, Tsinghua Science Park promotes technology innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2007, the two companies were merged and became TusPark Ventures. The firm employs an “investment + incubation” model when investing in Chinese high-tech startups. TusPark Ventures currently manages over RMB 3 billion in assets.

The VC arm of Tsinghua University, THG Ventures was founded in 2015. It is managed by the investment team from the state-owned Tsinghua Holdings Ltd., which has specialized in venture capital investments since 1999 and is one of the first China teams focused on RMB investment. The team also founded TusPark Incubator and TusPark Ventures.  

Founding partner of China Bridge Capital, Zeng Qiang used to be nominated the Most Influential Chinese IT Leader by TIME in 1998. He founded Sparkice, one of the first B2B e-commerce platforms in China, in 1996. He co-founded LeTV CBC Buyout Fund, Wumei CBC Buyout Fund, iCarbonX CBC Buyout Fund, E-China Alliance, and Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum. Zeng Qiang received his Master of Economic Management in Tsinghua University and Master of Financial Economics in The University of Toronto. He also serves as the guest professor at the Business School of Tsinghua.

Founded by a group of Tsinghua alumni in 2013, Innoangel Fund has invested in 200+ startups. With over RMB 2 billion under management, Innoangel Fund focuses on artificial intelligence and robotics, Internet of Things and the cultural creative industry. 

Founded in December 2013, MOOC-CN Education is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tsinghua Holdings. It is headquartered in Beijing and invests in education startups with a focus on online education.

XY Capital was co-founded in Hangzhou in April 2018 by former Alibaba CEO Lu Zhaoxi and Tang Yun, a former government official in Hangzhou with a PhD in Computer Science from Tsinghua University. The company set up an RMB investment fund in June 2018 and invests mainly in early-stage tech startups. 

Formerly known as Tsinghua University Science Park (TusPark) Development Center founded in August 1994, Tus-Holdings was incorporated in 2000. The company takes full responsibility for developing, constructing, operating and managing TusPark.Tus-Holdings is the controlling shareholder, or shareholder, of over 800 listed and non-listed enterprises. The total assets under its management amount to nearly RMB 200bn.

Lin Hai majored in Materials Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University and holds an EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). He co-founded A8 Digital Music in 2000, which later became one of the largest digital music platforms in China. Lin is currently the secretary-general of CEIBS Alumni Mobile Club’ southern offices and the president of Shenzhen Nanshan Cultural & Creative Industry Association.

Li Teng graduated in bioscience at Tsinghua University in 2011 and stayed on to complete a PhD in synthetic biology in 2016. He joined a SynBio project team to create PHA bioplastics during his postgrad research at university.Li was also the leader of Tsinghua University’s team that won a gold medal at the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Design Competition. He met Zhang Haoqian at the iGEM giant jamboree in 2010 and they have remained friends ever since.Li and Zhang co-founded Bluepha in 2016, a spin-off from Tsinghua University’s SynBio research project. In 2018, Li was selected for MIT Technology Review’s list of Innovators under 35. In 2019, he was named one of the 40 Chinese business elites under 40. 

Wedding industry veteran who started high-end wedding planning business Meiweiting, before launching EasyWed, Han Shuo holds a master’s in Economics and Management from Tsinghua University.

Former Google research scientist, focusing on speech and natural language processing. Lin Hui graduated from Tsinghua University, after which he obtained his PhD from the University of Washington.

After graduating from Tsinghua University and the University of Pennsylvania, Zhou Jiaxiang has been working in the development of the verticals of high-capacity computing and cloud storage research. He led the product development of the email system during his years at AOL.In 2011, Zhou built the Cloud Computing Research Center for Tsinghua University in Shenzhen. The center has processed more than 863 national cloud storage projects through its enterprise services. Zhou has published multiple papers on renowned publications and has obtained four American patents and three authorized software rights. 

The co-founder and CTO of Maimai  is a computer science graduate from Tsinghua University. Prior to co-founding Maimai, Jiang had a decade of experience working in Sogou, then Qihoo 360.

A former doctoral student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, Shen quit his studies to focus on SXBBM.com (Shixiong Bangbangmang) and subsequently, his second startup, Licaifan, in internet finance.
