Bo Shao graduated with a Harvard degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering in 1995 and worked at the Boston Consulting Group for almost two years until 1997. After obtaining an MBA from Harvard in 1999, he started EachNet in China. The e-commerce platform was acquired by eBay in 2003 for US$225m and Bo went on to other ventures like Babytree and Parent Lab Inc.Based in San Francisco, the angel investor became a founding partner of Matrix Partners China in 2008. He focuses on early-stage investments in the internet, e-commerce and new media sectors.

Based in Sao Paulo, Maya Capital was co-founded in 2018 by Lara Lemann and Mônica Saggioro. The VC manages two funds that invest in early-stage startups in Latin America. The first is worth $26m and the second raised $15m in October 2020. Half of the amount raised will be invested in new startups, while the balance will fund Series A rounds of portfolio startups.Together with co-investors like Kaszek Ventures and Y Combinator, the VC has invested in 25 startups in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico. Investments include plant-based foodtech NotCo, the car-rental operator Kovi and online education platform Trybe. Maya aims to increase its portfolio to 35 startups, focusing on post-Covid opportunities in diverse sectors like health, finance, mobility and logistics.

Founded in 2010, Hosen Capital is a PE firm under the New Hope Group. With RMB 5 billion under management, Hosen Capital focuses on the consumption upgrading and industrial upgrading of the agricultural and food sectors. Its investors include New Hope Group, West Hope Group, Delong Steel, Temasek Holdings, ADM and Mitsui & Co.

Delong Capital was founded by entrepreneur Ding Liguo. It has branches in Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore and assets under management worth nearly RMB 10 billion. Delong Capital invests mainly in early- or growth-stage startups from the high-end manufacturing, healthcare, new materials/new energy, artificial intelligence and big data sectors.

Danny Saksono is a software engineer, graduating in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales. He had previously obtained a diploma in Information Technology from Singapore’s Nanyang Polytechnic in 2007.Prior to founding Quintal, Danny worked in Singapore for about five years as a senior system analyst at Mobile Xprerience Pte Ltd and as a software engineer at ASG Technologies.

Armed with a master’s in Multimedia Arts from Birmingham City University in the UK, Jeffrey Budiman is an experienced creative and branding professional. After his master’s in 2003, he worked at a strategic brand consultancy company DM Brands for five years. He developed a new brand agency DM ID with Daniel Surya. Jeffrey joined Daniel’s WIR Group as CTO and also became a director of WIR’s brand technology unit Spacesym, now known as Redspace.

Carlo Terruzzi is an industrial and mechanical engineer who spent several years as an industry consultant and led the technical department of CMC Marine, a company building stabilization systems for the maritime component industry. He is co-founder and head of R&D in Solatom, a startup developing solar concentrators for industrial applications. Terruzzi specialized in Mechatronics at the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Wu Shichun (b. 1977) founded Plum Ventures in 2014, an internet-focused angel fund managing three RMB funds. Wu began investing in 2008 after he quit Kuxun, the leading online travel media he founded in 2006. Plum Ventures is listed among the top 10 angel investment firms in China, with each investment of RMB 2 million to 5 million.

Escribano is a computer engineer with a master's in IT Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He was Co-founder and Product Manager of TouristEye, a company sold to Lonely Planet in 2013.In 2014, he co-founded Seltag, a marketplace for buying and selling second-hand goods. Seltag was used by over 200,000 users across Spain but was unable to compete against larger platforms in the market so the business was closed down at the end of 2015.in 2016, he co-founded OnTruck, a leading innovation-oriented logistics company that optimizes road freight transportation through technology, and has since been its chief procurement manager.

Marta Arisa is co-founder and COO at Kibus Petcare, the first hardware that automatically cooks and dispenses healthy pet food. She has worked there since 2018. She simultaneously continues to work at the Catalan Tourist Board, where she is currently budget manager. Prior to this, she worked in human resources at Innova Humana Consultores for one and a half years and for two years in business support at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia's corporate innovation program Innova. She also briefly worked as a consultant at the business transfer Marketplace for SMEs in Catalonia.Arisa holds a Master's degree in Financial Management and Accounting from Barcelona's Pompeu Fabra University.

Infortisa is a Valencia-based IT company considered to be one of Spain's top tech companies. Infortisa is leader in computer distribution, with over 30 years' experience offering technological solutions in the B2B sector. Since 2016, it has been active in Juan Roig’s Marina de Empresa (EDEM) Smart Money program in Valencia and is committed to investing in highly innovative startups with the aim of accelerating and promoting Spanish innovation and entrepreneurship, and to becoming a reference investor in the national tech ecosystem.In 2017, it had invested more than €90m in capital.

Henry Fausta graduated in 2012, with a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of New South Wales in Australia. Prior to becoming a co-founder and COO at Quintal in 2015, he worked in Jakarta as a research and development engineer at Qerja and a solution developer at Intersoft Solutions. He was also a software engineer at Qronospire and at EmpireOne group in Australia. Other IT work experiences include web front-end and application development in Australia.

Formerly a corporate and M&A lawyer in New York and London, Jeff Lynn began his career at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP after graduating from the University of Virginia School of Law and the University of Oxford (where he majored in Civil Law). The US-born Lynn later obtained an MBA from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and went on to co-found equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs. 

Founder and CEO of CarBlock. A successful serial entrepreneur. Lee received his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the East China University of Science and Technology and his MBA from Columbia Business School. Lee is the founder and CEO of nonda, a leading connected car company in the United States. He also helped co-found Baixing.com, China’s second-largest online classifieds platform, and formerly served as the Head of New Business Development at eBay and Microsoft.

Zulfikar Rifan is a serial entrepreneur based in Bandung, Indonesia, who established capsule hotel startup Bobobox in 2018. While studying for his degree in Information Systems at Universitas Harapan Bangsa Bandung, Indonesia, Zulfikar established his own fashion shoe brand. Upon graduating in 2015, he opened a cafe, established a new fashion brand and became involved with Kembangin.social, a social enterprise development platform based in Bandung.
