Founded in 2012 in Washington DC, Accion Venture Lab is a seed-stage investor in fintech for the underserved. Venture Lab is part of Accion, a not-for-profit global organization that works with financial service providers to deliver affordable solutions for unbanked and underbanked communities worldwide.Its portfolio includes 44 startups from 17 countries, ranging from Chile to Indonesia. Seed-stage startups normally get $500,000 funding per company. Investments in December 2020 included participation in the $1.5m seed round of Argentinian software development tech Henry and a financing round for Indonesian micro-credit fintech Pintech.

DFS Lab is a fintech-centric incubator/accelerator company with a focus on emerging markets. Supported by a US$4.8 million grant from the Gates Foundation, many of the portfolio companies provide fintech products and also help to improve the financial literacy education for people in developing countries. About 50% of the startups are run by female co-founders and 73% originate from the emerging markets.

Headquartered in Washington DC, IDB Lab is the innovation arm of the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB) Group . Its investment vehicle, IDB Invest, aims to finance projects that foster innovation and inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean area. .  IDB Invest provides many types of financial support. It operates through blended finance to mobilize capital flows into emerging markets or provides loans to test new business models or injects equity into business ventures.

Mustard Seed MAZE is a Lisbon-based VC firm that invests in early-stage startups, primarily in social impact enterprises. Endowed with €40m, the VC has invested in projects dealing with food wastage, human trafficking, postnatal depression and general healthcare.So far, it has managed one exit, with the majority of its portfolio of 20 companies based in Europe. Recent investment rounds include $3m seed funding for Portuguese mesh network tech HypeLabs, €1.15m seed round for Spanish fintech StudentFinance and $12m Series B round for UK-based food waste app Winnow.

Seed Capital Bizkaia is a division the Department of Economic and Territorial Development of Bizkaia province. Created in 1991, the seed capital investment fund supports the growth of small businesses with established operations in Spain's Bizkaia region. The firm invests in startups from different business sectors in the form of participatory loans or by contributing up to €300,000, with share participation of up to 45%.

Dimas Prasetyo is the founder and CEO of PesanLab. He graduated with a degree in Medical Technology and Laboratory Science from Yogyakarta Health Polytechnic. He has over eight years of work experience in marketing, operations and management in the clinical laboratory diagnostics industry. He was also a product specialist at Non-invasive Genetic Abnormalities Test in Your Clinic and at Natera Inc. He co-founded Lab Panorama Bandung in 2009 and left in 2013 to become the founder of LabConX that was later rebranded as PesanLab.

A Linz-based pre-seed investor founded in 2015, the company currently has 17 companies in its portfolio. Its interests span market verticals and technologies, with tech and non-tech startups supported, and varied geographical locations across Europe. It also runs an online learning lab for startups called Zero21. Its most recent investments include the €2m seed round of Austrian second-hand electronics marketplace refurbed and the €300,000 pre-seed round of German interview platform-as-a-service LAMA. 

Formerly the Suzhou Venture Group (which was reconstructed from the former venture capital entity China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Ventures), state investment firm Oriza Holdings manages about RMB 29.7 billion. As of 1Q2016, its investments comprised 253 seed/early-stage companies, 81 growth-stage entities and 48 mature ones.

DG Incubation was founded in 2009 as the investment arm of Japanese internet company Digital Garage Group. The firm invests through its Open Network Lab Seed Accelerator Program for its seed-stage portfolio, and through DG Incubation for its early-to-late stage portfolio. DG Incubation gives foundation support to early-stage startups, such as problem identification. For later-stage startups, the firm gives data and analysis and supports the recruitment process, among others. It has offices in Tokyo, Kamakura (Japan) and San Francisco. It has invested in 98 companies to date and has seen 23 exits including companies like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. 

Founded in 2011 by former Kingsoft CFO Wang Donghui (Kelvin Wang), Koubei and Wacai founder and former Alibaba executive Li Zhiguo (Frank Li) and another former top Alibaba executive (head of corporate finance and VP) Andrew Teoh (Zhao Hong). Ameba Capital is a seed/early stage VC fund managing over RMB 1 billion. It has invested in more than 60 startups, including Didi, Dianping and Mogujie.

Wu received his bachelor's in Tourism Management from Nanjing University in 1995. His background is in e-commerce. Wu was one of the original founders of Luoji Siwei, but he left the company in 2013. His current business venture is Context Lab, a corporate services platform. Wu participated in Kuaipeilian's seed funding round.

Founded in London in 2009, Parkwalk is a specialist investor in deeptech spin-offs created at UK universities.  Parkwalk currently has over £375m of assets under management and has invested in over 100 companies to date, emanating from the universities in Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and Bristol, becoming the UK’s most active VC outside London. It currently has 143 portfolio companies, Its recent investments include the $17m May 2021 Series A round of cell therapy medtech Mogrify and in the April 2021 £1.9m seed round of HexagonFab, a medtech producing analytical lab instruments. 

Telmo Güell is a young entrepreneur responsible for the business development of The Beemine Lab, the first biotechnology company in Spain to produce cannabidiol-based cosmetics. He founded the company in 2018. Güell started his studies in Philosophy but he soon realized he was more fascinated by design and computer programming and so chose to specialize in JavaScript Fullstack and UX. Passionate about bees, he decided to start a project that would support beekeeping and address the risk of bee extinction. By combining bees with the cannabis plant, he founded The Beemine Lab, using bees to pollinate cannabis plants and cannabis pollen to sustain populated beehives.The Beemine Lab products are today sold in pharmacies, para-pharmacies and via Amazon Spain, as well as on the company’s e-commerce page.

Beatriz González is Spain’s first and only female head of a venture capital firm. In 2013, she founded Seaya Ventures and became the MD of one of Spain’s top 10 VC funds. The VC also has interests in South America. Its portfolio includes 17 mid to large startups like Cabify, Glovo and Wallbox. The VC focuses on the internet, digital and media sectors, backing startups with investments of €5–10 million each. González is also a board member for numerous startups including Cabify and Glovo. As an angel investor, she has invested in the pre-seed and seed rounds of Spanish femtech WOOM.
