China's largest seed fund, ZhenFund was set up in 2011 by Xu Xiaoping (Bob Xu), Wang Qiang (Victor Wang) and Sequoia Capital China. The original ZhenFund (or ZhenFund 1.0) was founded in 2006 when Xu began investing as an angel investor, after the New Oriental Education & Technology Group he co-founded went public on NYSE. ZhenFund's notable investments include Jumei, Jiayuan, LightInTheBox, Miyabaobei, Meicai and 17zuoye, among the more than 300 startups it has betted on.

Founded in 2014, Giant Innovation Capital is a venture capital fund by Giant Interactive Group, an online game developer and operator listed on the NYSE. It focuses on early stage investing in Internet startups.

Beijing Kunlun Tech Co., Ltd. (Kunlun) is a Beijing-based gaming, fintech and software company founded in 2008. It went public on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2015. In 2016, Kunlun acquired a 60% stake in Grindr. It now invests primarily in sectors such as social networking, live streaming, IoT and AI. Four of the companies in which it invested - Qudian, Yinke, Opera and Ruhan - have gone public as of April 2019. 

Founded in 2014 by Cao Yi, formerly of Sequoia Capital and Ceyuan Ventures, Source Code Capital currently manages about US$500 million of capital, focusing on early-stage TMT (especially fintech, O2O, e-commerce) investments. Notable investments have included Qufenqi, Meituan, and PPzuche. Source Code Capital is part of the Sequoia Capital China.


Founded by Zhang Guiping, brother of Suning Commerce Group Chairman Zhang Jindong. The Zhang brothers co-founded Suning in 1987 and divided the business in 1999 into Suning Universal, listed as one of the top 20 real estate companies in China, and Suning Commerce, one of the largest appliance retailers in China. The investment conducted by Suning Universal in China mainly focuses on culture and entertainment industry. Suning Universal is expanding to the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, Australia, France and South Korea, seeking investment opportunities in real estate, entertainment, healthcare, and culture industries.

Japanese outsourcing company, Transcosmos was established in 1966. The company currently offers cost reduction services, such as contact center and HR, and sales expansion services such as Big Data analysis.

Established in 2012, Cyzone Angel Fund is an angel venture investment fund subsidiary of Cyzone, which runs the Chuangyebang magazine. They focus on early stage investment in internet, mobile internet, digital media, hardware and life style sectors.

Previously known as Incubate Capital Partners, Incubate Fund was founded in 1999 by Tohru Akaura and partners. Focusing on providing early stage funding, its portfolio includes more than 120 companies. It also hosts Incubate Camp, a seed-stage startup acceleration program.

Established in 2011, Shilling Capital Partners is a Portuguese angel investment fund and one of the three subsidiaries of Mogope, a Portuguese investment manager, whose partners are also co-founders of Shilling. To date, the company has invested in 18 startups, both tech and bricks-and-mortar, and has managed three exits, including BestTables that was acquired by TripAdvisor. It typically invests between €250,000 and €1m in seed and Series A rounds and ensures liquidity until the next funding round, or when the startup becomes capable of funding its own growth. Recent investments include petcare marketplace Barkyn, healthy meal service delivery app EatTasty and blockchain-based online betting application BetProtocol. 

Founded in 2014, EVERVC is a platform for startups and investors to seek financing and investing opportunities. As of 4Q2015, EVERVC had helped 170 startups to get investment of over RMB 900 million. It has invested in 40 startups, about 16 of which have received follow-up investment from prominent investors such as Matrix Partners China, NewMargin Capital, and Zhonglu VC.

Founded in 2014, Success Capital is an angel investor. It invests primarily in the fields of technology, media and telecom with capital ranging from RMB 1 to 10 million.

Baotuan was founded by Tap4fun and focuses on mobile games. It provides up to RMB 2 million to each startup it invests in.

Bonsai VC invests in Spanish startups with global ambitions and mobile-focused business models. The founders and managers, including Javier Cebrián Monereo, Javier Cebrián Sagarriga, Luis González Buendía and Rafael Gutierrez de Calderón; own approximately 60% of the VC share capital.
