Xpeng has launched its first production model, the G3 SUV. Sherpa’s Spanish-language PDA is based on NLP and machine-learning technologies. The PDA is offered as a brand-name product (previously preloaded on Samsung smartphones) and more recently, as a white-label product in the form of an independent cloud-based platform that embeds, connects the PDA to smart consumer appliances and cars. 

Commander, Pulsar and Copper are different models of domestic and commercial chargers for electric and hybrid vehicles. Charging times for batteries are reduced by 10 times. The Smart Charging System automatically charges the vehicle during periods when electricity prices are lower. Each device is controlled by a smartphone app.

Veniam's NetRider box runs on native software and cellular, Wi-Fi and DSRC signals, forming a mesh network open to devices with continuous connectivity. Via agreements with OEMs and tier 1 manufacturers, the technology should soon be incorporated in connected and autonomous vehicles. Boxes send real-time data to Veniam's cloud for analytics.

Trax Center is an Android smart vehicle app that uses the global positioning system (GPS) to provide anti-theft measures, location tracking and other critical vehicle monitoring notifications. It allows users to get theft alerts and even remotely cut off the engine if required in the case of stolen vehicles.

The investment arm of Yamaha Motor Group (Japan) was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Palo Alto, California. It focuses on industrial automation and transportation technology, and on smart and automated solutions in particular. Recent investments include automated strawberry picker Advanced Farm Technologies' US$7.5m Series A round and drone and robotics startup Exyn Technology's US$16m Series A round.

B4Motion is focused on mobility-related technologies, including autonomous driving systems, Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications for transport as well as on-demand logistics, car sharing, parking and valet services. B4Motion invests across all funding stages from seed through Series D and IPO in the Spanish and Latin American markets. 

Co-founded by Robin Li and six others in 2000, Baidu, Inc., is a search engine provider with 80% of the Chinese market. Its business consists of three parts: search services, transaction services and iQiyi video services. Search services are targeted at internet users; pay-for-placement services, for example, are triggered by search queries. Transaction services include Baidu Nuomi, Baidu Maps, Baidu Connect, Baidu Wallet, etc. iQiyi is an online video platform with a content library that includes licensed and self-produced films and shows. In 2017, Baidu invested mainly in the fields of AI, transportation and enterprise services.
