Former EVP of Tencent and former CEO of Tencent e-commerce, Wu Xiaoguang graduated with a degree in Synoptic Meteorology from Nanjing University in 1996, and joined Tencent in 1999 as its founding team member. In June 2015, Wu resigned as CEO of Tencent e-commerce and remained as its senior management consultant. Wu is now an angel investor and founded Welight VC in 2015.

The Bank of China is one of four major state-owned banks in China. It provides financial services to China as well as 51 other countries and regions. The BOC makes direct investments and conducts investment management through its wholly owned subsidiary Bank of China Group Investment Ltd. It invests primarily in its clients and focuses on the fields of finance, consumption, medicine and energy sources.

Indonesia’s first unicorn, Gojek started out providing on-demand app-powered motorcycle taxi services. The company quickly grew as it added more services, making use of its large fleet of riders and eventually branching out into logistics and payments. GoHub Ventures is the Valencia-based corporate venture capital arm of Global Omnium, a company specialised in water management. The firm invests in the seed and scale-up phases with a ticket size between €500,000 - €3m.The comnpany has so far invested €11m until 2020 and is mostly backing deep tech startups working in AI, big data, 3D, IoT and robotics and cybersecurity sectors.

Founded in 2010, East Ventures is a venture capital firm with offices in Indonesia, Japan and USA. Today, the company has invested in over 150 companies across Asia, mainly Southeast Asia and Japan, and the USA. Its ticket size ranges from US$100,000 to US$500,000.

Linear Venture was co-founded by Wang Huai, a former Facebook employee, and Zhan Chuan, who served as a senior executive to Alibaba’s Tmall and JD.com. The firm invests mainly in early-stage technology-driven startups in the intelligence and big data fields.

Indonesian Paradise Property is a group of property developers and management companies focusing on lifestyle destinations and hospitality properties in prime locations in Indonesia. Its portfolio includes Jakarta's Plaza Indonesia mall and Grand Hyatt Jakarta, as well as the Sahid Kuta resort in Bali.

British Oxford-educated engineer William Reeve is a serial investor and entrepreneur who built two successful businesses Fletcher Research and LOVEFiLM.com from scratch and led them to successful exits.  He is currently Chairman of online investment management platform Nutmeg.com, CEO of proptech accelerator Goodlord and Non-Executive Director of Dunhelm Soft Furnishings. He was also Co-CEO and Chairman at grocery delivery company Hubbub.co.uk and was Non-Executive Chairman at healthy snack startup Graze.com. He was Head of Operations at Paddy Power betting agency, Managing Director of Oxalyst Systems and has been a non-executive director at a host of online platforms including Secret Escapes, Zoopla! and DealChecker.co.uk. 

Founded in 2013, Visionnaire Ventures is based in San Francisco and invests globally in innovative technologies in diverse sectors like AI and ML, digital health, Big Data, IoT, mobile and agriculture. The firm is managed by a team of serial entrepreneurs and executives involved in global internet, game and online media companies.The VC is co-founded by managing partners Taizo Son, Keith Nilsson and Susan Choe who also founded Katalyst Ventures. Son is the brother of SoftBank’s Masayoshi Son based in Japan. Taizo founded Gungho Online in 2002, a major online gaming company that became public-listed in 2005. With a vision to create a Silicon Valley-like venture eco-system in East Asia, he also founded MOVIDA JAPAN in 2009. He also founded Mistletoe Inc as CEO in 2013 to support entrepreneurs and provide startup ecosystem development activities.

DSM Venturing is the investment arm of major Dutch biotech company DSM that has been investing in startups since 2006. The company currently has 36 startups in its portfolio across geographies and has managed three exits to date. It typically invests between €100,000 and €5m, with a lifetime investment varying from €1m–20m and usually requires board membership alongside investment. It has offices in the Netherlands and the US, both on the east and west coast. Its recent investments include in the March 2021 $48m Series A round of Dutch cell-based meat startup Meatable which leverages pluripotent stem cells for the first time in foodtech, and in the same month, in the $8m Series A round of British anti-pollution biotech Deep Branch Biotechnology.

Founded by Feng Bo, who left China for San Francisco at aged 18 and returning in 1994, as one of technology-focused boutique investment bank Robertson Stephens' first bankers in China. Feng set up Ceyuan Ventures in 2004, focusing on early-stage IT and emerging growth firms in China. Notable investments include Jiayuan, Qihoo 360, Dianping and Meitu. Feng Bo is the brother of Feng Tao, another leading investor, and founder and head of NewMargin Ventures.

Founded by Zhang Guiping, brother of Suning Commerce Group Chairman Zhang Jindong. The Zhang brothers co-founded Suning in 1987 and divided the business in 1999 into Suning Universal, listed as one of the top 20 real estate companies in China, and Suning Commerce, one of the largest appliance retailers in China. The investment conducted by Suning Universal in China mainly focuses on culture and entertainment industry. Suning Universal is expanding to the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, Australia, France and South Korea, seeking investment opportunities in real estate, entertainment, healthcare, and culture industries.
