Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Nicko Batubara had built a strong career in banking. After graduating in 2012 with a bachelor's in Industrial Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, Nicko joined Citibank as a financial officer and rose to become an Assistant Vice President in 2015. In an interview with a Kufed vendor, buyMeDesign, Andrew revealed that he wanted to be like comic heroes; Batman and Iron Man who create new ways to fight the bad guys. He wants to have a management style that can be adapted to the environment and market to create unique solutions in e-commerce.   Kufed is part of the e-commerce company, PT Hood Digital Asia, which was previously known as PT KlikToday, an Indonesian version of daily deals Groupon. Andrew was COO of KlikToday.

Data services veteran Huang Haijia was the director of the Chinese government’s first online project in 1998; and the co-founder and former COO of ID5, set up in cooperation with the national police, for online identification checks and involving the digitization of ID data of the 1.3 billion population.  In 2001, Huang founded Guozhengtong, an IT consultancy supporting local governments in their digitization and, subsequently, banks and telcos. He later founded financial data and credit risk management SaaS company Shenzhourong, which he heads as CEO. Huang holds an EMBA from the Central European International Business School. He is also a member of the fifth batch of entrepreneurs from the incubation program of AAMA (Asia America Multi-Technology Association), Silicon Valley's largest non-profit organization dedicated to the Asian American high-tech community.

Sutan Imam Abu Hanifah started his first company immediately after graduating with a bachelor’s in Information Systems from Indonesia’s Universitas Bina Nusantara (Binus). In 2015, he established Binary Art, an app development agency, with university batchmate Indri Hardianti. The following year, the two established, a web-based hospital management platform.

Marc Rovira is the CEO and co-founder of Spanish household bill manager app Polaroo. In 2017, he joined his brother and a friend to develop the MVP originally known as Widuid. He also co-founded Brainit, an analytical tool for smart devices. He has also worked as a business development and communications manager at space tech Zero2Infinity. He was also a project manager and an engineer. He completed a master's in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at ESADE Business School. He also has a master's in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Bath, UK. 

Formerly a financial analyst, Ioann Fainsilber graduated from the University of Bath in UK, with a bachelor's in business administration in 2012. He also has a master's in Finance and Private Equity from the London School of Economics. While at university, he worked briefly as an analyst at Essilor's USA and Lloyd's Banking Group. He also acted as financial advisor for a student advertising company for over two years in Bristol while studying for his degree.In 2014, Fainsilber joined Morgan Stanley as a tech analyst. In 2016, he worked as a private equity associate at American VC Silver Lake. He left UK for Indonesia in 2017 and became the CFO of Ayopop, an android developer for e-commerce platforms and payment apps. Pintek, with Ayopop as shareholder, was established by Fainsilber and Ayopop co-founder Tommy Yuwono in March 2018. Fainsilber remained as CFO at Ayopop until January 2019.

Antonio Tripiana Caballero worked for almost two years as project engineer at the Signal Processing for Communications and Navigation (SPCOMNAV) research group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).The Department of Telecommunications and Systems Engineering project was part of Tripiana’s master’s degree in Telecoms Systems Engineering during his university days from 2011 to 2016. He also completed a one-year exchange program at Finland’s Tampere University of Technology.Tripiana worked as a freelance full-stack developer in Barcelona during his studies. He worked for four months as a scientist at Barcelona’s Mobile World Capital to develop a cloud-based GNSS receiver for IoT devices with ultra-low battery consumption. He also spent five months testing receivers at the European Space Agency (ESA) in the Netherlands.In 2018, he co-founded Plant on Demand (POD) as the startup’s Solutions Architect. He took on the full-time role of CTO during 1Q2020.

Tian Yang was among the first batch of Alibaba's data product managers. The product director of Alibaba International was also the head of overseas marketing and customer operations for and created online retail service AliExpress.In January 2018, he joined former Alibaba colleagues Yang Renbin and Li Guibin to set up edtech platform Intelligent Learning in Hangzhou. He is now the COO of the math learning company.

Cody Frieson is the US founder and CEO of SOURCE Global (formerly Zero Mass Water), the first off-grid drinking water production tech based on solar-powered panels. The Arizona State University Fulton Engineering School professor of innovation invented the Hydropanel, the key to SOURCE’s technology, and continues to teach part-time at the university. He is also a fellow at both the NGO Aspen Institute, which is committed to realizing a free, just and equitable society, and also at Unreasonable – an entity composed of entrepreneurs, institutions and investors dedicated to “discover profit in solving global problems.”Frieson was also previously founder, president and CTO of rechargeable zinc battery startup Fluidic Energy, another of his inventions, where he worked from 2007 to 2013, when it was acquired and became NantEnergy. In 2019, Freison won the Lemelson-MIT Student Prize for innovations to benefit the world – the US’ most prestigious student innovation award with a $500,000 prize. Frieson holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). 

Diliara Lupenko is the COO and co-founder of Impress, an invisible aligners company regarded as one of the fastest-growing telemedicine startups in Europe. Prior to Impress, Lupenko served for over eight years as COO and CFO of Aquaton, a bathroom furniture plant and a subsidiary of the ROCA Group. She also worked in the Transaction Service Group in KPMG, managing financial due diligence of over 100 targets, pre-sale preparation of vendors, and restructuring, amongst other tasks. Impress is not Lupenko’s first entrepreneurial experience. In 2013 she co-founded Style Me Up the first Russian marketplace for designers of jewelry and accessories.

Xia Zuoquan (b. 1963) co-founded BYD in 1996, which makes cars as well as batteries for electric vehicles. BYD is about 10% owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway. Xia founded Zhengxuan Capital in 2004, an investment firm having over RMB 10 billion in assets under management. Zhengxuan Capital has invested in more than 30 companies in gene sequencing, robotics, smart hardware, chip design, supply chain finance and talent assessment sectors. Xia was placed no. 256 in the 2015 Forbes China Rich List, with an estimated net worth US$1.2 billion.
