Ferry Aprilianto has over 17 years of experience as an IT engineer. From 2000 to 2005, he was a project manager at enterprise IT firm Jatis Solutions, where he worked on mutual fund distribution systems for major Indonesian banks. In 2005, he became an independent IT consultant, working for companies in Indonesia and the Philippines. In 2013, he joined the company that developed Bank Mandiri's e-cash system, Digital Artha Media, as an IT architect. Ferry graduated from the University of Indonesia with a bachelor's in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Aavishkaar (‘invention’ in Hindi) was founded in 2001 as an early stage investor to help build sustainable enterprises in India’s underserved regions. Its VC portfolio, valued at over US$ 155 million, covers key industry sectors including sanitation, healthcare, agriculture and technology. Its Aavishkaar Frontier Fund was created in 2015 to invest in South and Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

After graduating with an Industrial Engineering degree from Purdue University in the US, Sean DeWitt became a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He later worked at the US Department of State and the Fund for New York City.In 2007, he joined the nonprofit Grameen Foundation that was established by Grameen Bank founder Muhammad Yunus. As part of the nonprofit, he helped Aldi Haryopratomo establish the social enterprise Ruma.  DeWitt currently works for the World Resource Institute. He also holds master’s degrees in Development Finance and Environmental Economics from the University of London.

Ahmad Rizqy Akbar is the CEO and CFO of Growpal, an investment crowdfunding platform for aquaculture and fishery projects. A graduate of Aquaculture studies from Indonesia’s Universitas Brawijaya, he has run his own fish and shrimp farm and had worked at Pertamina Dana Ventura, a venture capital fund owned by national oil and gas firm Pertamina. In 2017, he joined fellow Brawijaya graduate Paundra Noorbaskoro to establish Growpal.

In 2011, the China Culture Industrial Investment Fund was founded by the Ministry of Finance, BOC International Holdings Limited, China International Television Corporation and Shenzhen International Cultural Industry Fair Co., Ltd. It has RMB 20 billion in assets under management. The fund has invested more than RMB 3.5 billion in 40 startups and projects.

Founded by the conglomerate Yuexiu Enterprises (Holdings) Limited in 2011, Guangzhou Yuexiu Industrial Investment Fund Management is mainly engaged in equity investment, mezzanine investment and FOF investment. The firm managed total of assets worth over RMB 60bn by the end of 2018.

Established in 2011, ShouTaiJinXin Fund is the institutional manager of a private fund under Shoutai Group. Qualified for private securities investment, equity investment and venture capital investment, ShouTaiJinXin Fund invests in the fields of education, automobile, transportation, healthcare, entertainment, corporate services, among others. By the end of 2016, it had managed funds worth RMB 60 billion in total.

University of British Columbia alumna Clarissa Leung had worked as a software engineer at ATR Humanoid Robotics Computational Neuroscience, Panasonic and Barclays Investment bank before dipping her toes into the entrepreneurial world in Canada. After her MBA at Queen’s University in Ontario, Clarissa moved to Indonesia in 2014 to join venture capital fund AccelerAsia as managing director. However, she left a year later to become a co-founder of on-demand household services startup Seekmi and was appointed its CEO in 2016.

Hengqin CIMC Readysun Innovation & Entrepreneurship Investment Fund is a VC fund set up by China International Marine Containers (CIMC) and Shenzhen Readysun Investment Group on June 14, 2017. The fund focuses on fast-growing high-end equipment manufacturing and new technology sectors, such as intelligent logistics, industrial automation and robots, industrial internet, green new materials.

Established in 2009, Shenzhen-based Guoxin Fund was formerly a subsidiary of Tianjin Chongshi Equity Investment Fund Management Co. Ltd. It became an independent entity in 2013, focusing on private fund management. As a state-controlled firm, Guoxin Fund now has over 10 branches and owns or controls shares in more than 20 companies whose business lines include industrial investment, fund management, financial lease, asset management, wealth management and fintech.

Based in Beijing, Xianghe Capital was founded in 2016. It runs a USD fund and an RMB fund. The founders of Xianghe Capital formerly led Baidu’s investment department. Xianghe Capital invests in the following areas: artificial intelligence, internet and traditional industries (e.g., online education, logistics, finance, medical care), B2B, culture, entertainment and enterprise services.  

Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund was launched at the closing ceremony of the 2019 World Artificial Intelligence conference. It was co-led by state-owned enterprises such as Guosheng Group and Lingang Group, and backed by local governments, state-owned industrial groups, and financing firms. The fund was initially be valued at RMB 10bn, with plans to increase this figure to RMB 100bn. It operates through direct investment and sub-funds.It mainly invests in early-stage tech companies as well as leading players that apply AI technologies in various verticals. 

Credit Ease Financial Industry Investment Fund was founded in 2016 and now manages a combined total of RMB 3 billion and US$ 500 million. It has invested in more than 20 Fintech companies around the world.

Founded in Beijing in 2015, Frees Fund is an asset management company with a portfolio valued at RMB 3.6bn. Frees primarily invests in early-stage startups in diverse sectors including fintech, education, healthcare, entertainment, hardware, intelligent manufacturing and SaaS. The VC is incorporated as Shanghai Ziyou Investment Management Co Ltd.

Founded in 1996, LB Investment (formerly LG Venture Investment) is supported by LG, the Korean conglomerate, and developing into a private equity fund investment company. It focuses on venture investments in Korea and China, and investments in medium and large companies.
