Biologist Luis Rubio González has a PhD and over 15 years of experience as a researcher and consultant in public and private organizations. He also completed an Advanced Studies Certification at the University of Murcia and has a master's in Food Quality and Safety from the Madrid Institute of Training (IMF Business School). In 2019, he became the co-founder and CPO of agroSingularity, a Murcia-based foodtech producing natural powder ingredients from raw materials sourced from wasted agricultural by-products.

Tessa Clarke is the British CEO and co-founder of food-sharing app OLIO that was inspired by her experience of having to throw away perfectly good unused food when she was packing up to move from Switzerland back to the UK in 2014.After graduating with a first-class degree in social and political sciences at the University of Cambridge in UK in 1997, she worked for three years at the Boston Consulting Group as a junior associate. She joined an MBA program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2002 and met Saasha Celestial-One, who was also studying for an MBA at Stanford. In 2015, Clarke and Celestial-One decided to use their savings to create a food-sharing app OLIO after successfully testing the idea as a private WhatsApp group in North London.Before becoming an entrepreneur in 2015, Clarke has held various senior management roles since completing her MBA in 2004. She worked for global business publisher EMAP from 2005 until 2009, when she joined Dyson Inc as e-commerce managing director (MD). In 2013, she left Dyson to become MD of fintech PayLater based in Switzerland run by the Wonga payday loan company. Known then as Tessa Cook, she later became Wonga’s MD for eight months when she was tasked with “cleaning up” the tarnished reputation of the high interest loan company. From 2013 to 2021, she was also chair of the management board of St George’s Palace, a boutique apart-hotel and spa complex in Bansko, Bulgaria.In 2018, she became a fellow at Unreasonable, an organization that supports social and environmental entrepreneurship. For two years until 2021, Clarke was ambassador for the Meaningful Business 100 global event that advocates the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. She was also a board member for six years at Contentive, a global B2B media and information company. In 2021, her busy schedule now includes becoming a business mentor for not-for-profit Virgin Startup.

Battle is a senior member of the Aspen Institute. He is on the boards of LinkedIn, Netflix, Expedia, OpenTable, Workday and FICO. Battle was once a global partner at Accenture.

Armed with Asian and European experience, Miguel Amaro co-founded Uniplaces in 2011. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Nottingham, and took a course in Chinese Studies at East China Normal University. He obtained his master’s in Management, with a concentration in Global Entrepreneurship, from Babson Graduate School. Amaro also spent two months as an analyst at Grameen Bank in Dhaka, Bangladesh. While developing Uniplaces, he was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Picvic Labs (France), Zhejiang University Innovation Institute (China) and Osram (United States). Amaro is currently part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers. As an investor, to date, he has only invested in Portuguese healthy food service EatTasty and part funding the company's angel, pre-seed and seed rounds, with undisclosed investments.

Born in 1961, Li Zexiang was an undergraduate at Central South Institute of Mining Metallurgy in 1978. From 1979 to 1992, he studied and worked in the US, earning a doctoral degree at the University of California, Berkeley in 1989. He worked as an AILab researcher at MIT in 1989. In 1990, he joined NYU's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences as an associate professor.In 1992, he returned to China and worked as a professor at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology ever since. In 1999, he founded motor control company Googol Tech. He is well-known for incubating DJI and became the chairman of Shenzhen-based drone and aerial photography systems company.

Ex-Yahoo COO Henrique De Castro is currently on the board of Target Corp. His work experience includes Google, Dell and McKinsey. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, and his MBA from the International Institute for Management Development.

Serial entrepreneur Eloi Gómez Cal (Santiago de Compostela, 1992) holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Food Science and Technology. He worked as President and Advisor in ACyTALE, The Food Science and Technology Association – part of the University of León in Spain. He later coordinated projects for Aqgri, developing a SaaS to improve quality processes in the agri-food sector. During this period, he also collaborated with Ceteris Paribus as a consultant on different European projects such as Horizon2020, Erasmus Plus and Fiware.

Elton Ho completed a master’s in food analysis and food safety management at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2015. Ho met Felix Cheung during the master’s program and they continued to develop the advanced sous-vide aseptic packaging (ASAP) technology after their graduation. They went on to co-found IXON Food Technology in January 2017, with funding from an angel investor.Ho had previously worked as a laboratory supervisor for nine years at the Vegetable Marketing Organization (VMO), monitoring the levels of pesticide chemical residues and heavy metals in domestic and imported fruits and vegetables. The VMO is a self-financing, non-profit organization established in 1946 to support local vegetable wholesalers and customers in Hong Kong. It also ensures food safety standards compliance and supports the sustainable development of local agriculture.

Andrew was COO of KlikToday.

Felix Cheung graduated in physics from Adelaide’s Flinders University in 1999 and obtained a PhD in physics from the University of Sydney in 2005. He obtained a master’s in food analysis and food safety management from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2015. Cheung met Elton Ho during the master’s program at university and they teamed up to co-develop the advanced sous-vide aseptic packaging (ASAP) technology. In January 2017, they established IXON Food Technology to further develop and commercialize ASAP for the food industry.Cheung previously worked as a website designer and administrator at the Complex Plasma Laboratory, University of Sydney, from 2002–2006. He was also an editor at Macmillan Science Communication for one year before joining the Springer Nature publishing group to work as editor at Nature China from 2007–2014.
