Sofina began in 1898 as Société Financière de Transport et d’Entreprises Industrielles, an engineering conglomerate in Belgium. In the late 1960s, Sofina changed course to become an investment company. As a holding company, its major investments lie in the consumer goods, energy, and distribution sectors, with stakes in companies like Danone and communications satellite operator SES. Lanzadera was founded in 2013 by entrepreneur Juan Roig, Spain's third richest individual and the CEO and biggest single shareholder of the country's largest supermarket group, Mercadona. Roig personally keeps track of the performance of the startups managed by the business incubator and accelerator based in Valencia, Spain.Lanzadera has invested €21m in almost 200 tech startups and consumer-focused offline businesses. To date, it has completed one exit via Groupify. Since 2016, Lanzadera has also specialized in video game development with Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain. The Lanzadera programs include training and assessments over a period of 9–11 months at its attractive Valencia marina location. 

Founded in 2002, Bluesail was initially known as a manufacturer of PVC gloves, with an annual capacity of tens of billions of pairs at its peak. At the end of 2012, it began to expand into more health-related areas.In 2018, it acquired a 93.37% stake in Biosensors International Group that specializes in developing, manufacturing and licensing technologies for use in interventional cardiology procedures and critical care. The two companies were merged and Bluesail began to produce more high-end medical consumables. In 2019, the company and senior executives invested in CH Biomedical to collaborate in the development of innovative medical devices for sale in China and overseas. 

ACA Investments is the Singapore-based affiliate of Asia Capital Alliance, a Japanese investment firm group. The group’s investment focus is on Japan and Southeast Asia, done by combining Japanese intellectual property and Southeast Asia’s growing markets and startup ecosystems. Its investments range from secondhand bookstore Book-Off, F&B brand owner HotLand Corporation (which operates Tsujiki Gindako), and Southeast Asian price comparison site iPrice.ACA Investments is also an affiliate of Japanese investment bank Daiwa Securities Group, which is Japan’s second-largest securities brokerage. In 2018, ACA Group announced that Daiwa Securities Group acquired a 34% stake in ACA Investments as part of a wider strategic alliance between ACA and Daiwa.

Albert Grau is an IT engineer and serial entrepreneur. He is a co-founder and business analyst at AEInnova and the co-founder and CEO of Happy Customer Box, which analyzes and transforms data into information and knowledge. His other co-founding ventures include Feedbox, which was established in 2017 as a tech company providing solutions to obtain customer feedback and MyKubuk, a leisure bookings marketplace, where he serves as CTO. 

Ximalaya FM is China’s largest audio sharing and service platform with 450m subscribed users. It has invested in several startups in the culture and entertainment sectors. 

Founded in 2010, Merah Putih is Indonesia’s first startup incubator. The Jakarta-based incubator focuses on mobile, gaming, community base and e-commerce. Its investment portfolio includes Infokost.id, Dailysocial and LintasBerita. Merah Putih is a collaboration between MCM Group and GDP Venture.

Markus Cosmann is co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer at UK-based Modulous, the first end-to-end generative design and delivery solution for affordable, sustainable and modulized housing, where he has worked since 2018. He was simultaneously a director  at engineering consultancy Optimise, based in London and Dubai, until 2020, where he had worked since 2012, and where the concept for Modulous was conceived. His construction project credits include the Oslo National Museum and the German and Swiss Pavilions at Dubai Expo 2020. He previously worked in management for six and a half years in Copenhagen at Danish civil engineering company Ramboll, and has an extensive background in fire engineering in his native Germany and the UK, both in research and commercial projects. Cosmann is a certified civil engineer, graduating from the Ruhr University Bochum in Germany.

Shanghai Alliance Investment Ltd is a state-owned company founded in September 1994 under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanghai. It mainly engages in equity investment in hi-tech and modern services industry.It has invested over RMB 10bn in diverse sectors including information technology, biomedicine, new energy, environmental protection, new materials and financial services. In 2004, the company and Microsoft set up the joint venture Shanghai MSN Network Communications Technology Co Ltd that operates MSN China's website: msn.com.cn.

Carlos Gallardo is an industrial engineer with an MBA from Stanford University. He spent most of his career at the pharmaceutical company Almirall and was promoted through the ranks rapidly holding multiple C-level roles. He became the MD for UK and Ireland for over five years and joined Almirall’s board of directors in 2014.In 2015, he founded CG Health Ventures, a VC firm investing in early-stage digital health companies worldwide. He’s also an active angel investor and advisor for startups developing frontier technologies in the healthcare sector. 

Lachy Groom is a young San Francisco-based Australian entrepreneur and angel investor who gained recognition as a teenage coder and was founder of Cardnap and PSDtoWP, acquired by PSD2HTML.com. He also ran fintech Stripe until 2018. To date, he has invested in nine early-stage startups. His recent investments include in the $9m second phase of home physiotherapy tech solution SWORD Health's Series A round, in the $3.8m seed round of collaboration platform for data scientists, Deepnote, and in the $2.2m seed round of trading platform Convictional.
