Lei is co-founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, one of the world’s largest smartphone companies. Born in December 1969, he holds a degree in Engineering from Wuhan University. With a personal net worth of US$11.2 billion, Lei has invested in 33 companies as a business angel, including Vancl.com, UCWeb, and YY Inc., a live streaming social media platform in China. He has also invested in 270 companies through Shunwei Capital, where he is a founding partner. Lei's investment focuses are e-commerce, mobile internet and social networking.

Bright Success Capital Ltd is a Hong Kong-based family office founded by Hilton Tam who has previously worked at Seagate Technology and Cisco Systems. He specializes in R&D, supply chain processes and consumer electronics manufacturing. Successful investments include Flixibus and N26. The VC manages a portfolio of companies involved in manufacturing and supply chains specifically for hardware components, medical devices, drones and consumer robotics. Its investment focus covers diverse sectors like robotics, fintech, healthcare, enterprise software and deep tech.

Founded in 1999 by Jack Ma, Alibaba was initially an online B2B platform for small businesses in China. Today it is one of the world’s largest internet companies. Alibaba provides internet infrastructure and marketing platforms for businesses and brands globally to connect with their consumers. Its core businesses include e-commerce, cloud computing, and digital media and entertainment, as it increasingly identifies itself as a data company, rather than as an e-retailer. It is also engaged in building ecosystems of logistics and local services through its invested companies. 

Facebook is a social networking platform founded by Mark Zuckerberg and partners in 2004. It is listed on the NASDAQ exchange under ticker code FB. Throughout its development it has acquired various complementary social media and networking services, such as Instagram and WhatsApp.As an investor, Facebook has invested in a wide range of companies. It invested in and later acquired virtual reality headset developers Oculus, and also invested in e-commerce enabler Meesho. In 2020, it joined Google, Tencent and other major tech investors as an investor in Gojek.

Founded in Hong Kong in 2018, Lake Bleu Capital currently operates in both Hong Kong and Shanghai. With assets worth billions of US dollars under management, it mainly invests in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices and healthcare services companies in Asia, especially Greater China. Its limited partners include sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, foundations, pension funds, and family offices across the world.With a long-term investment strategy, Lake Bleu Capital invests through both public and private equity with a focus on mid- to late-stage companies.

Fitri Andriani is multitalented, graduating in 2000 with a degree in Communication and Media Studies at the Universitas Islam Bandung in Indonesia. She worked as a flight attendant over three years. She later became a supervisor of mining business administration at PT Humpuss, a petrochemical and shipping company. She then left her last job in February 2013 as executive secretary at a telecommunications company Smartfren. She became a co-founder and COO of Tripvisto in April 2014. She left Tripvisto in 2015 to work on “W Project”.

Banker-turned-toymaker Miguel Pina Martins started his educational toys business, Science4you, as his final-year project at University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE), where he was studying Finance. Upon graduation, he worked as an analyst at Banco de Investimento Global for four months before quitting to focus on his startup full time. Miguel Pina Martins was born in 1985. In 2018, he published a book A Ciência de Brinca (The Science of Play in English), about his business experiences. 

Unbabel's Co-founder and CEO Vasco Pedro is a  language technology expert and serial entrepreneur and holds a bachelor’s degree in Language and Knowledge Engineering from the University of Lisbon, and a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University. While at Carnegie Mellon, he interned at Siemens Medical Solutions and Google. Before co-founding Unbabel, he had co-founded adtechs Bueda and Dezine. He is also a Mentor and Associate at Beta-i startup promotion association in Lisbon.

University of British Columbia alumna Clarissa Leung had worked as a software engineer at ATR Humanoid Robotics Computational Neuroscience, Panasonic and Barclays Investment bank before dipping her toes into the entrepreneurial world in Canada. After her MBA at Queen’s University in Ontario, Clarissa moved to Indonesia in 2014 to join venture capital fund AccelerAsia as managing director. However, she left a year later to become a co-founder of on-demand household services startup Seekmi and was appointed its CEO in 2016.

Co-founder and CEO of Trio.AI. Wang, who received his doctorate in Computer Science from University College London, has a decade of experience in the fields of intelligent interaction, machine learning, domain-specific dialogue systems and multi-turn dialogues. Acting in a leading role, he helped established Toshiba’s first-generation dialogue system in 2010.After returning to China in 2015, he worked at Baidu as a decision maker for its Xiaodu robot project, now known as DuerOS.

Founder, CEO and CTO of Zhen Robotics. An expert in AI and robotics, Liu Zhiyong used to work at Alibaba as the technical leader of its AI program “Wall-e Super Brain.” He has a master’s degree in Machine Learning and Robotics from Tsinghua University. He pursued a doctoral degree in Computer Science at ETH Zurich but never finished. He has also performed research in AI and robotics at Imperial College London. He has published more than ten papers in top journals and owns several invention patents.

In 2011, Yang earned his master’s degree in Control Science and Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology. From 2011 until January 2015, he worked as an electric vehicle project manager at Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. In June 2014, he co-founded Xpeng Motors with He Xiaopeng, Xia Heng and He Tao in Guangzhou. After leaving Xpeng Motors in 2017, Yang joined Qeebike, an electric bike-sharing startup based in Hangzhou, and has served as its CTO ever since.

Victor Darmadi is a veteran software engineer who built his career at various German companies and multinational corporations. He worked as an intern for a Daimler-Chrysler subsidiary and Siemens, joining ITC Automotive as a software engineer on graduation. He spent over 10 years at Gracenote, an entertainment data service company acquired by Nielsen in 2017, before returning to Indonesia to join microlending startup JULO. Victor holds a master's degree in Business Computing from the University of Applied Sciences (FHW) Berlin, Germany.

Having earned his master’s degree in Optical Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University, Lin received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008. In May 2008, he joined NEC Labs America, where he performed research on machine learning and computer vision. In November 2015, Lin was made director of Baidu’s Institute of Deep Learning. In March 2017, he was promoted to head of Baidu Research. Six months after being promoted, Lin left Baidu to found Aibee.
