A self-taught cybersecurity enthusiast, Wenas Agusetiawan was able to hack into various Indonesian and Singaporean networks at a young age. Luckily, he was 16 and escaped with only a penalty fine whilst living with his family in Singapore. He left to study in Australia and eventually became an IT professional. Wenas graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s in Computer Science from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Canada. He founded software developer PhaseDev, gaming platform Bouncity and e-book distributor WayangForce. In 2011, he co-founded Tiket.com but stepped down as CEO after the acquisition by Blibli in 2017.

Computer Data Communications graduate from Malaysia Zac Cheah is an Erasmus Mundus scholar with a master’s in Computing from Sweden’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a master’s in Security and Mobile Computing from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.After his master’s graduation in 2008, Zac joined Opera Software AS in Norway and Opera Oupeng in China. He left Opera in 2013 to co-found Cross platform HTML5 games developer Wozlla in China. In 2016, Zac moved to Indonesia and co-founded payments app Pundi-Pundi. He became the CEO of Pundi X in September 2017.

Describing himself as a cashless believer, Danny Lim Wei Xiang has a master’s in Professional Accounting from Tsinghua University in China. The law graduate is also reading a PhD in Law at his alma mater. Danny has worked as a product manager at Baidu and as a financial analyst for Lenovo, before joining games developer Wozlla as VP of Sales and Marketing in 2014. In October 2016, he joined Wozlla’s co-founder Zac Cheah to establish Pundi-Pundi. He is currently the CFO of Pundi X, a cryptocurrency spin-off of Pundi-Pundi.

Liris Maduningtyas graduated in 2014 with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. She had worked as an assistant teacher for a program run by the university and Schneider Electric. After finishing her final year project at Chevron, she joined Schlumberger as a field engineer stationed in Riau, Indonesia. Liris left a year later to join fellow UGM graduates to establish electronics startup Atnic. Liris managed the marketing and financial affairs of Atnic that created Jala for shrimp farmers, and was promoted to CEO of Jala in 2018.

Alexandre Díaz Codina is a Business Administration graduate from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). He joined Arkyne Technologies as co-founder and CFO in November 2015. He left Arkyne and the Bioo project in May 2017.While working on the Bioo project, Díaz and fellow co-founders were named as promising young entrepreneurs in Forbes 30u30 Europe. He also co-founded youth forum Impact.Barcelona in February 2016 with UPF alumni to give youths a “voice” in society. In January 2018 he joined AZ Capital as an investment banking intern.

Rafael de Alemar Vidal is based in Santa Caterina in Brazil, as the CTO and a co-founder of Sheetgo. He had previously worked for five years as an IT analyst in London UK. He also specialized in Business Information Technology at the South Bank University while in London. After graduating in 2011, he became a Microsoft certified professional in 2013. He returned to Brazil and worked as a systems analyst at Moon Tools and Abramar Construtora. Both companies were co-founded and run by fellow co-founder Yannick Rault van der Vaart.

Bao holds two bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Communications Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago. He worked as an associate at Morgan Stanley's Global Capital Markets business unit from 2011 to 2015. Bao then worked as an investment associate at Chinese group buying website Meituan-Dianping from 2015 to 2016 and at Legend Capital from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, he co-founded Huajuan Mall and has since served as head of strategy.

David Casellas, a graduate of ESADE Law and Business School, is a legaltech expert who built his career in digital businesses.He started his professional career as Digital Business Development Manager at FC Barcelona. In 2012, he co-founded Red Points, a SaaS producing anti-piracy and counterfeit detection technology to protect brands in the digital ecosystem. Since 2017, he has also been Co-founder and Managing Director of Pridatect, the first online platform that allows professionals to offer compliance in General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) services to their clients. 

Software engineer Ronaldi Kurniawan was the only Android developer at YesBoss, an Indonesian virtual assistant startup. The Computer Science graduate from Universitas Bina Nusantara went on to work at financial product comparison website Cermati after YesBoss became inactive in 2016. YesBoss was later transformed into Kata.ai.Ronaldi had also worked at Thailand-based IT consultancy firm TN Corporation before returning to Indonesia to join Go-Jek. In May 2019, he left Go-Jek to team up again with Kata.ai co-founder Ahmad Rizqi Meydiarso to establish brand campaign builder startup Feedloop.

Yao Conglei graduated from Peking University in 2008 with a degree in Computer Science. He is CTO of AI firm Kika Tech, which invested in Bailian.ai's seed round. Before Kika, Yao was Technology VP at Wandoujia, a search engine for mobile entertainment. Yao worked for the HP Research Institute and Tencent in the areas of content mining and recommendation systems respectively.

Ana Teresa Freitas is the founder and CEO of Lisbon-based HeartGenetics, since 2013. Prior to this, she lectured for 29 years at Lisbon University's Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), where she taught computational biology but she continues her 32-year career in Lisbon's engineering institute, INESC-ID, as a senior researcher in computational biology and health IT.  She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and a master's in Electronics Engineering. She has attended the Advanced Management Program on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Católica Lisbon – BES, School of Business and Economics.

Christopher Gultom worked as a consultant for four years before establishing P2P lending firm Akseleran. In 2013, after graduating with a Bachelor's in Economics from Universitas Gadjah Mada, he started work at Arghajata Consulting as an associate. He left Arghajata in 2015 and joined AJCapital Advisory as a senior consultant. When he and fellow co-founders started developing Akseleran in 2016, he took on the role as CFO. However, after launching Akseleran and leaving AJCapital in April 2017, he became Akseleran's Chief Investment Officer while Mikhail Tambunan stepped into the CFO role. In September 2017, he became Akseleran's Chief Credit Officer.

Victor Sánchez Rodríguez is a veteran consultant, having worked at Boston Consulting Group as senior principal from 2006 to 2015. After graduating in 1996, he joined PwC as consultant and moved on to Booz Allen in 2000 as a senior associate. He completed an MBA from INSEAD in 2002. The multi-lingual Sánchez started Smile and Learn in 2013 to help his children's school to acquire more hi-tech teaching resources. He left his BCG job to become CEO of the edtech in 2015. BCG consultant Blanca Rodríguez joined as co-founder and advisor in 2014.

Armed with Asian and European experience, Miguel Amaro co-founded Uniplaces in 2011. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Nottingham, and took a course in Chinese Studies at East China Normal University. He obtained his master’s in Management, with a focus on Global Entrepreneurship, from Babson Graduate School. Amaro also spent two months as an analyst at Grameen Bank in Dhaka, Bangladesh. While developing Uniplaces, he was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Picvic Labs (France), Zhejiang University Innovation Institute (China) and Osram (United States). Amaro is currently part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers.

Lucas Llobet Cusí is the Spanish born CTO and co-founder of Evix Safety, designers of an algorithm controlled airbag for cycling helmets, where he has worked since 2018. Prior to June 2019, he was also working simultaneously at a local electrical startup Sumcab Special Cablegroup, where he was Deputy Head of Product and Development. He has also worked in engineering product design at  Mecatecno. Llobet holds a degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development from the Polytechnic University of Barcelona. He speaks four languages and is a keen cyclist and rower.
