Focused on seed/early-stage investing, Zhonglu Capital is the private equity arm of Zhonglu Group, controlled by Shanghai investor Chen Rong. It uses owned capital in making equity investment, backing 40 to 50 companies a year in the TMT sectors; and specifically in recent years, in lifestyle O2O, enterprise IT, mobile healthcare, fintech, VR & AR.

Founded in 2010, Runa Capital is an early-stage VC that invests across North America, Asia and Europe. It manages funds worth US$270m and has invested in more than 40 companies, primarily in the healthcare, fintech, B2B SaaS and education sectors. The firm invested in Capptain, an app management platform acquired by Microsoft in 2014.

Founded in 2012 by Wang Yawei, the former vice-president of China Asset Management and the founder of Top Ace Asset Management, Qianhe Capital provides asset management, equity investment and investment management services. As of April 2017, Qianhe Capital had RMB 24 billion under management and issued 11 trust plans and asset management plans.

Aqua-Spark is a Netherlands-based fund that supports aquaculture businesses around the world, with the vision to create profitable aquaculture ventures that can help to restore ocean ecosystems that have been damaged by overfishing. Its portfolio covers a wide range of enterprises, ranging from low-cost fish farms in Madagascar to biotechs and high tech aquaculture companies.

Established in Shanghai in 2011, PreAngel Fund has set up six funds with a total of RMB 600 million in assets under management. So far, the firm has invested RMB 300 million in over 300 Chinese and American tech companies in the fields of mobile internet, hardware, healthcare, finance, insurance, e-commerce, sports, among others.

Founded in 2007, private equity investment firm Cathay Capital runs eight funds with a total of more than €2.1 billion in assets under management. It operates six offices around the globe and has invested in 85 startups in Asia, Europe and America, focusing on the consumer products, healthcare and advanced manufacturing industries. 

Mahanusa Capital is a financial services company founded by Daniel Budiman. The firm provides investment banking and brokerage services through its subsidiaries, Mahanusa Securities and Magna Finance. It also manages major property assets in Indonesia, including the Pacific Place mall in Jakarta. Mahanusa Capital has invested in digital signature startup PrivyID and local event discovery app Goers.

Burda Principal Investments is part of Hubert Burda Media, an international media and tech conglomerate based in Germany. The VC also has offices in London and Singapore. Since 1998, BPI has invested mainly in consumer internet companies in Europe, Asia and the US. Key investments include Skillshare, fashion marketplace Zilingo and photography services platform SweetEscape.

Founded in Beijing in 2012, Ying Capital specializes in private equity investment in manufacturing in China. It has branch offices in Suzhou and Shenzhen. The firm mainly invests in the applications of intelligent technology, IoT and robots in manufacturing. It also has interests in supply chains, automobiles, electronics, new energy, textiles and garments. 

A major competitor of Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok), the short-video platform Kuaishou was launched in March 2011. The company currently has 262.4m daily active users for its app. Over 2.6m pieces of short videos are uploaded everyday by its users. Kuaishou went public in Hong Kong in February 2021.

Smart Delivery Routes is a last-mile delivery startup based in Andalucia and founded in 2017. Its only declared investment has been in Valencian accessibility hardware and app for the deaf, Visualfy, to which it has contributed €520,000 in a 2021 seed funding round. It is also Visualfy’s distribution partner for the Andalucian region.

Based in Beijing, Xianghe Capital was founded in 2016. It runs a USD fund and an RMB fund. The founders of Xianghe Capital formerly led Baidu’s investment department. Xianghe Capital invests in the following areas: artificial intelligence, internet and traditional industries (e.g., online education, logistics, finance, medical care), B2B, culture, entertainment and enterprise services.
