Chongqing Environmental Fund was established by China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Chongqing Municipal Government in June 2015. As of late December 2018, the fund has invested RMB 448m in 28 projects. It has launched 13 funds with a total capital of about RMB 8bn. 

Maxime Feyeux is President, CSO and co-founder of TreeFrog Therapeutics whose proprietory C-Stem technology mass-produces high-quality pluripotent stem cells in a 3D environment. Prior to founding TreeFrog in 2018, Feyeux worked as a maturation engineer at Aquitaine Science Transfert and completed a post-doctoral degree at Bordeaux’s Institut des Maladies Neurodégénératives. He also has a post-doctoral degree from the University of Geneva and completed his PhD in neurobiology and neurosciences at the Université d’Evry-Val d’Essone. 

Karaeng Adjie graduated from Universitas Indonesia with a degree in Chemical and Process Engineering in 2014. He co-founded a garment company in 2011 that was acquired in 2016. He was also an operations director at a property development company in Makassar. He is also the CEO and co-founder of an oil trading company Sabbia. In 2015, he joined the environment-focused property developer PT Magale Sayana Indonesia as co-founder and president commissioner. He was previously the chief strategy officer of Magale’s latest venture Magalarva.

Kévin Alessandri is CEO, CTO and co-founder of TreeFrog Therapeutics, whose proprietory C-Stem technology mass-produces high-quality pluripotent stem cells in a 3D environment. Prior to founding TreeFrog in 2018, Alessandri spent two years as a post-doctoral fellow at Bordeaux’s Institut d’Optique. During 2014 and 2015, he completed a post-doctorate at the University of Geneva, focused on developing 3D printed microfluidics systems to build 3D cell culture vessels for stem cell applications. From 2008 to 2013 he completed a PhD on cellular capsules technology and applications at the Institut Curie in Paris. 

Jean-Luc Treillou is co-founder of TreeFrog Therapeutics, whose proprietory C-Stem technology mass-produces high-quality pluripotent stem cells in a 3D environment. Since January 2019, he has also acted as an advisor and member of the strategic committee of IT security company Eshard. Prior to co-founding TreeFrog, Treillou founded YSOPIA Bioscience in 2011, where he was CEO until he left in 2021, and Chairman of the Board from 2018. Between 2009 and 2013 he held the posts of General Manager and Chairman of the Board at French R&D company Nutrionix.

The Hague-based social impact investor invests in the areas of environment, economic inclusion, health and well-being and follows the socio-economic principles of the United Nation’s Global Social Development Goals. The VC was established in 2019 and to date has invested in four companies. Its most recent investments have been in agritech sustainability monitoring platform Satelligence’s $2.3m seed round and AI-powered sustainable recruiting platform Equalture’s €1m seed round. 

Chen Yuying majored in Japanese and tourism in the university. After graduation, she began her startup career by establishing a review website with her team. However, her first startup failed due to the immature internet business environment. But the startup experience helped her held a post in internet business department of Alibaba Group and Tencent.  In 2014,She joined Tujia website, an online booking website that connects travelers and hosts, as COO and helped it gain funding twice. In 2017, Chen Yuying joined Xiaoming Bike as CEO and began differentiated marketing strategies, focusing on strong supplement chain and operation in three tier city.

Based in Spain since 2016, Yannick Rault van der Vaart is a Brazilian entrepreneur with diverse work experiences in USA, Latin America and Europe. The co-founder and CEO of Sheetgo is also a board member of Impact Hub Network that runs co-working spaces in Spain and Brazil.In 2006, the graduate from the University of Miami co-founded EsMiHogar to help immigrants finance property purchases back home. In 2007, he helped Spanish company Inmoferrocarril to launch 7,600 social home mixed-use urban development "Esmihogar". In 2008, he co-founded Abramar to build low income, environment-friendly residential buildings and neighborhoods in Brazil.

Launched in 2015, the Stanford GSB Impact Fund invests globally in innovators and tech startups whether connected with the university or not and within the area of social impact in seven market segments: education, energy and the environment, fintech, food and agriculture, justice, healthcare, and urban development.  The university-owned fund invests from the pre-seed to Series A rounds and makes investments mostly from January to April. It currently has 11 startups in its portfolio. 

The Boston-based Grantham Environmental Trust is part of the Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment. The philanthropic organization was founded in 1997 by entrepreneurs Jeremy Grantham and his wife Hannelore as a private foundation controlled by family members. Grantham is chairman and co-founder of investment management firm GMO. The charitable trust has independent trustees like the CEOs of World Wildlife Fund US and the Rocky Mountain Institute. The trust’s Neglected Climate Opportunities LLC invests in little-funded yet promising climate change prevention technologies. Recent investments include the $12m Series A round of Vence, a US-based producer of a virtual fencing wearable for livestock management in May 2021 and the January 2021 investment round of US sustainable electrofuels producer Infinium.

Established in 1996, SBI Investment is a venture capital firm that focuses on growth sectors such as information technology, biotechnology, life science, mobile, environment and energy. The VC arm of the SBI Group is developed to quickly find new, emerging technologies and investing in those technologies to further the development of the group. SBI Group then introduces the new technologies to existing businesses in order to help them stay ahead in the market, as well as to revitalize local industries in Japan, particularly in the financial and banking sectors.

Yang Kaikai graduated in 2013, majoring in English Language and Literature at Shanghai Ocean University.In March 2016, she joined Tencent Incubator to work as a marketing and business development manager. She left Tencent in October 2016 and co-founded Energo Labs as COO, responsible for the strategic and global expansion of the company in Asia. In September 2018, Yang also co-founded Dipole Tech, a blockchain-based renewable energy management and trading platform.Yang is co-chair of the Energy Blockchain Leadership Committee and founded the Asian Cleantech Entrepreneurs Community (ACTEC) to connect entrepreneurs focusing on sustainable development and the environment. In 2019, she was nominated as one of 600 entrepreneurs 30 under 30 by the Forbes China.

Sky Ocean Ventures is a £25m impact investment fund and part of the Sky Media Group. It was launched in 2018 with the goal of accelerating businesses that can tackle global plastic pollution with innovative ideas and disruptive technologies. The firm has backed 20 startups that have developed solutions that help mitigate plastic disposals in the environment, such as disposable bottles made of paper, reusable delivery boxes, sachets made from seaweed and packaging made from wood chips. Sky Ocean Ventures also partners with, among others, The National Geographic and the Imperial College in London. 

Ramiro Salamanca is a well-known Spanish lawyer. He holds a degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid and an Executive Master's in Public Management from IE Business School.For more than eight years, Salamanca worked as a lawyer for the Community of Madrid, where he served the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Land Management; the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Government Spokesman. He was director of legal advice to Madrid Metro from 2012 to 2015.Since 2016, he has acted as CLO of Reclamador.es, a web platform that manages and automates consumer claims.

IGF is a crowdfunding platform for impact investing in Asia. It aims to partner with innovative, high-impact enterprises in need of capital to scale their businesses and, as a result, be of value to society and the environment. The fund seeks to mobilize its US$50m in investment capital to deliver affordable healthcare, cut CO2 emissions, help more than 2m people gain access to clean energy and empower women. IGF's investments range in size from US$250,000 to US$5m, and primarily take the form of equity or quasi-equity. All its investments include pre-agreed social or environmental impact targets.
