Tetuan Valley has built a network of over 500 entrepreneurs through its six-week Madrid-based Startup School program, which was started in 2009 and is in its 25th edition. Brian Sefton has been co-founder, a board member and a part-time advisor at NovoNutrients, a San Francisco-based biotech manufacturer of alt-protein produced from fermentation and CO2 since it was founded in 2017. In 2009, he co-founded research entity Oakbio, from which NovoNutrients evolved, and was its President and CTO. Sefton was CTO and President at NovoNutrients and also co-CEO and Chief Scientist at Oakbio until 2021 when he became the CEO at San Francisco-based fermentation commercialization startup Sincarne. Before co-founding Ximalaya with Yu Jianjun, Chen Xiaoyu worked as an investment director at one of Thailand's largest conglomerates, Charoen Pokphand Group, in its China office. There, she supervised the Group’s investments in internet startups. His road safety app "Watch Out" won him a scholarship at an international design competition "Creative Diary 2013" run by the Institute of European Design (IED).Originally from Venezuela, he studied graphic design at IED Madrid in 2014 and completed a master’s course at the Animum Creativity Advanced School in Malaga in 2018. Based in Madrid, he also works as a creative director at nutri-holistic products company Biomol Care SL and as a visual designer for e-learning site Banana Exams.

She co-founded the company with three fellow students at IE Business School in Madrid during MBA studies in 2015. She was also a neuroradiologist in the Portuguese hospital Vila Nova de Gaia until 2017, when she dedicated herself full time to Tonic App. Seixas is additionally an independent expert on ethics and scientific evaluations at the European Commission and an affiliate professor at the University of Porto, where she studied for a PhD in Neuroscience and lectured in medicine.

However, its Vision Fund I was badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and losses resulting in lower valuations of its investments in Uber and WeWork.In February 2020, the Japanese conglomerate decided to inject more money into the Vision Fund II before raising new funds from other LPs. With $10bn committed to the second fund by the SoftBank Group, the new fund has now invested in 13 portfolio companies including co-leading the Series C round for XAG in November 2020.
