Between 2012 and 2014, Raymond Christopher worked as a teaching assistant while pursuing a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley. There, he met future co-founders Surya Halim and Theodorus Budiyanto, who were taking their undergraduate degrees. After he earned his PhD, Christopher joined marketing and analytics company LiveRamp as an intern, and afterwards became a software engineer at Google. He returned to Indonesia in 2018 to establish data analytics firm Delman.

Founded in Beijing in 2015, Frees Fund is an asset management company with a portfolio valued at RMB 3.6bn. Frees primarily invests in early-stage startups in diverse sectors including fintech, education, healthcare, entertainment, hardware, intelligent manufacturing and SaaS. The VC is incorporated as Shanghai Ziyou Investment Management Co Ltd.

Entrepreneur First is a global entrepreneur incubator program and early-startup investor. The incubator is an intensive six-month program for founders and aspiring entrepreneurs to help them develop ideas that can go into building their own companies. The program is held in six cities around the world: Bangalore; Berlin, London, Paris, Singapore and Toronto (Canada).Participants do not need to have a startup or a specific business idea to participate, and those who have established their own companies can seek partners or co-founders at the program. Roughly 40-50% of the cohort reach the “Launch” phase, where the participants have established their own companies and received investments from Entrepreneur First and potentially other VCs. Entrepreneur First can invest in a startup built by program participants in exchange for 10% equity. The exact amount invested varies: £80,000 for the European programs; S$75,000 for the Singapore and Bangalore programs; and C$100,000 for the Canada program.

Motivated by the red overalls-clad plumber Mario as a kid, Paulo Fonseca knew he wanted to develop video games. Faced with having to choose between electronics and football, Fonseca opted for the former and pursued his studies in Computer and Telematics Engineering at the University of Aveiro. Antonio Lu Lee is one of the co-founders of OnTruck, an innovation-oriented logistics company that optimizes road freight transportation through technology. Whilst there, he managed the company’s business development and its fleet community until March 2018. He previously worked in shipping and logistics in Hanjin Shipping. He has also worked in a seafood company and in oil and gas ship brokerage. He holds a master's in Value Investing and Cycle Theory from Madrid's Manuel Ayau Online Center. 

A joint US$50 million venture capital fund by SoftBank and Indonesian telecommunications company Indosat. The fund, founded in 2014, invests in companies based in Indonesia.

Qinghan Fund was founded in 2017 by Crystal Stream, New Hope Group and Chinese celebrity Lu Han. Its largest shareholder is Wang Mengqiu, former vice president of Baidu. Qinghan Fund invests primarily in teams (e.g., small groups of people running a WeChat Official Account) that create professionally generated content, media and platforms which cater to the next generation's lifestyle and consumption upgrade needs.

Spring Fund was founded in Beijing in May 2015 with RMB 300m initial funding. Its cornerstone investors include government guidance funds and Chunyu Mobile Health. Spring Fund mainly invests in the early stages of mobile healthtechs and startups with focus on intelligent hardware, smart assistance, online diagnosis, chronic disease management, cross-border healthcare, rural areas and the elderly population.

Wu received his bachelor's in Tourism Management from Nanjing University in 1995. His background is in e-commerce. Wu was one of the original founders of Luoji Siwei, but he left the company in 2013. His current business venture is Context Lab, a corporate services platform. Wu participated in Kuaipeilian's seed funding round.

ENISA is a Spanish public company under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism. Since 1982, it has been actively supporting innovative business projects of SMEs in Spain. ENISA co-invests up to 50% of the capital, with the remaining 50% to be provided by other co-investors or founders. The funding ranges from a minimum of €25,000 to a maximum of €300,000. Unlike banks, ENISA offers interest-free finance based on a company's profitability. In this way, it allows startups to adjust their financial burdens according to each company’s natural business life cycle.

After graduating with a degree in International Business Economics from Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg in Germany, Wahyu Wrehasnaya worked as a media researcher at Nasdaq’s German office.He returned to Indonesia in 2015 and joined three other co-founders to develop a virtual assistant service YesBoss. He was the Chief Consumer Officer (CCO) of YesBoss until the one year-old app service was replaced by Kata.ai. Wahyu is now the CFO of the new artificial intelligence chatbot startup.

Rubén Muñoz Trapote holds a double degree in Economics and Actuarial Science and a degree in Finance.He’s one of the co-founders of Mr. Jeff, an online dry cleaning and laundry service with a presence in Europe, Asia and Latin America. There, he is responsible for the planning, implementation and management of online marketing strategy, focused on mobile-user acquisition and retention.Prior to Mr. Jeff, Muñoz mainly worked in financial and administration departments in diverse industry sectors.

S2 Capital was founded by Y Combinator alums Sohail Prasad, Samvit Ramadurgam and Ritik Malhotra. The founders of S2 Capital have mostly invested in the US, leveraging their relationships with startups there, both before and during their time at Y Combinator. Payfazz is a notable exception in S2 Capital's portfolio, being the first startup from Indonesia to have participated in the Y Combinator program.

Haibang Fund was created in 2011 by Haibang Venture based in Hangzhou. Haibang Fund manages total assets worth US$360m with investments in 60 companies, four of which have gone public. Started by a group of overseas returnees and experienced investors, the VC focuses on startups founded by returnees from overseas.
