Wu received his bachelor's in Tourism Management from Nanjing University in 1995. His background is in e-commerce. Wu was one of the original founders of Luoji Siwei, but he left the company in 2013. His current business venture is Context Lab, a corporate services platform. Wu participated in Kuaipeilian's seed funding round.

Formerly known as Google Ventures, GV is the investment arm of Alphabet Inc. Although Alphabet is its sole limited partner, the VC operates independently from Google. It invests in seed, venture and growth-stage funding rounds with more than 300 companies in its portfolio worth over $5bn. Headquartered in California’s Mountain View, GV has offices in San Francisco, Boston, New York and London. The VC has been actively involved in Silicon Valley’s investment rounds for prominent startups like Uber, Slack, Ripple, Impossible Foods, Lime and Medium.

Founded in 1993 by former journalist Hugo Shong (Xiong Xiaoge), a godfather figure in China's VC community, IDG is one of the leading VC firms in China, having invested in some 450 companies (as of end-2015) with over 100 successful exits. Among the biggest names are Tencent, Baidu, Xiaomi, Vancl, Sohu, Ctrip and Qihoo 360.

Founded in 2003, Ginkgo conducts equity investments in companies from the consumer product and internet sectors (mainly e-commerce, new media and fintech). 

Goodwater was founded in San Mateo in 2014 with a team less than 10 by Chi-Hua Chien and Eric J.Kim, who were previously at Kleiner Perkins and Maverick.

Yonghua is a specialized investment company under Yongjin Group. With more than 20 years investment experience, it has invested in more than 100 companies, more than 50 of which are listed. Yonghua focuses on the most competitive companies in industries such as finance, e-commerce, education, healthcare, corporation service, new material and artificial intelligence.

Founded in 2016, Berlin-based investor BlueYard invests in startups aiming to tackle the planet’s greatest challenges. It typically makes $1m–3m as an initial investment and has no geographical bias. Its most recent investments include in the March 2021 $48m Series A round of Dutch cell-based meat startup Meatable which leverages pluripotent stem cells for the first time in foodtech and in the February 2021 $4m seed round of Next Matter, a German Open Source automation tool for operations teams.

Omnes is a Paris-based European investor in private equity and infrastructure. It specializes in deep tech and healthcare. It has backed 450 businesses, with €5bn assets under management. 

Founded in Boston in 2019, Transformation is entirely dedicated to healthcare disruption, predominently focuses on US investments and typically invests $10-30m per startup. It currently has 22 companies in its portfolio.  Its most recent investments include in the June 2021 $85m Series C round of Portuguese home physiotherapy tech solution SWORD Health, the world’s fastest-growing musculoskeletal solution, and, the same month, in the $21m Series D round of Protenus, the US’ leading healthcare compliance analytics firm.

Miguel Arias received an MSc in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2002 and an MBA from IE Business School in 2005. He has served as global entrepreneurship director at Telefónica since 2018.Arias began his career as an engineer. In 2003, he founded IMASTE (since acquired by US communications firm ON24), a virtual events startup, where he served as CTO for nine years.Arias is an active angel investor in the Spanish tech ecosystem. He co-founded Chamberí Valley, which promotes networking initiatives among tech entrepreneurs, and mentors at programs such as the IE Venture Lab and Wayra Academy.

Laura González- Estéfani is best known as the co-founder of Venture City. Established in 2017, the tech accelerator has offices in Miami in the US and Madrid in Spain. The director of one of Spain’s largest banks CaixaBank is also a board member of the European Commission’s Innovation Council. She has also worked for Facebook as a country manager for Spain and Portugal.González- Estéfani has also been a prolific private investor and business angel since 2016. She invests across ecosystems and market verticals, including success stories like Cabify and Spotahome. In 2020, she participated in the seed round of Spanish femtech WOOM.

AngelClub is a capital management platform co-invested by co-founder of Tencent, Zeng Liqing, founder of Matrix Partners, Zhang Ying, and management at TsingVentures, Chuangfuzhi Capital and Panda VC.

Caris LeVert is a professional basketball player in the USA’s National Basketball Association league, playing for the Brooklyn Nets. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he joined the Nets in 2016, after the Indiana Pacers swapped him for Thaddeus Young in that year’s draft. In 2019, the Nets signed a three year-extension for LeVert’s contract, worth $52.5m.LeVert is managed by Roc Nation, the entertainment and sports management firm founded by musician Jay-Z. He took part in Roc Nation’s investment (via venture arm Arrive) in Indonesian coffee brand Kopi Kenangan. LeVert is also the founder of the 22 Initiative, a youth mentorship program in New York.

Chenshan Asset Management was founded in 2016 by Jiang Jian, Edward Tian (Tian Suning) and Chen Haofei. Jiang is also the partner of China Broadband Capital and has led its investments in Dianping, Tujia, Babytree, etc. Tian is the board chairman of China Broadband Capital, founder of Nasdaq-listed AsiaInfo and former CEO of China Netcom Corporation. Chen is the managing director of China International Capital Corp (CICC).

Startmate is an accelerator program for tech-enabled Australian and New Zealand start-ups. It also operates a seed fund backed by venture capitalists and established entrepreneurs. The organisation was established in 2011 by Niki Scevak, founder of Blackbird Ventures, and a team that included the founders of Australian enterprise software company Atlassian.  Since its inception in 2011, Startmate has invested in more than 150 startups with a combined valuation of more than A$1 billion. Startmate runs two accelerator cohorts a year, usually from January–April and July–October. This accelerator program is open to a wide range of entrepreneurs, from idea-stage groups and pre-Series A startups, to solo founders and complete teams. Companies participating in Startmate’s accelerator program each receive A$75,000 from Startmate’s community of mentors, in exchange for 7.5% equity. In 2019 Startmate launched a dedicated Climate Cohort, which runs parallel with the standard program and focuses on startups in cleantech and climate-tech. Startmate also runs a First Believers program twice a year, which trains future or aspiring angel investors from Australia and New Zealand by building their confidence and networks and refining their investment strategies. In addition, the organization runs a coaching and mentorship program and holds other networking programs, like a Founders’ Fellowship, Women Fellowship, and Student Fellowship, at various dates throughout the year.
