George Sumantri was born into a 60-year old family jewelry business. A graduate from Universitas Tarumanegara in Jakarta, George decided that the jewelry business was in his blood. Armed with a professional accreditation in Diamonds and Colored Stones Grading from the Gemological Institute of America, he finally realized his dream of owning a jewelry business, PT Orori Indonesia, in 2002. He launched Orori’s online store in 2006, the first online jewelry store in Indonesia. Encouraged by the success of the online business, he closed down all of the Orori offline stores in 2012 to become a fully online business.

Seasoned entrepreneur Paulo Trezentos founded software development company Caixa Mágica Software in 2000. He continued to work on his business while pursuing his master’s and a PhD in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal. Caixa Mágica Software handled many projects, including Aptoide, an independent Android app marketplace that later became a separate company. Trezentos closed his first company in 2015. He continues to work as an assistant professor at Lisbon's University Institute ISCTE, where he lectures in Operating Systems and Computer Architecture at the bachelor's and master's levels.

As part of the nonprofit, he helped Aldi Haryopratomo establish the social enterprise Ruma. DeWitt currently works for the World Resource Institute. He was a systems administrator at his alma mater Superior Technical Institute in Lisbon before joining IT consulting firm Crazydog in 2008 as a systems administrator and developer.In 2012, Martins and Crazydog founder Gonçalo Fortes began creating AI-powered software to improve the efficiency and productivity of local factories. Luckily, he was 16 and escaped with only a penalty fine whilst living with his family in Singapore. He left to study in Australia and eventually became an IT professional. Wenas graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s in Computer Science from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Canada. He founded software developer PhaseDev, gaming platform Bouncity and e-book distributor WayangForce. In 2011, he co-founded Tiket.com but stepped down as CEO after the acquisition by Blibli in 2017.

He left Opera in 2013 to co-found Cross platform HTML5 games developer Wozlla in China. In 2016, Zac moved to Indonesia and co-founded payments app Pundi-Pundi. He became the CEO of Pundi X in September 2017.
