Former journalist Miguel Leite had founded two businesses, Punch and FullFlex Interactive Media, before establishing Tradiio in 2014. The ex-label manager of Universal Music Portugal saw first-hand the challenges faced by emerging artists to make a living from their music. He joined PwC as an auditor in 2009 and worked there for 18 months before becoming an associate at Nplusone, part of the Alantra global investment banking and asset management firm based in Madrid. He was invited to join the Spotahome co-founding team when the proptech was revived by CEO Artacho on his return from London.

In 2012, Zhao created yunweipai.com, China's first nonprofit online community to provide IT maintenance advice. In 2015, he resigned from Huawei and launched Makebang, a software crowdsourcing platform. Recognizing the limited growth potential of the industry, Zhao sold Makebang in 2017. In 2017, he co-founded Tiantian Xuenong with Yan Zitong, a friend from university, and became its CEO.
