Garden Impact Investments is an investment holding company based in Singapore. Xora Innovation is a subsidiary of the Singapore sovereign investment fund, Temasek. It was established as an early-stage deeptech investment platform that identifies startups connected with the Singapore science and technology ecosystem (although the startup can be based anywhere in the world). Xora plans to invest as a lead or co-lead in seed or Series A rounds, with later-stage investments being handled through Temasek. As of July 2021, Xora has invested in two companies based in Singapore: Allozymes, which provides enzyme engineering services, and Nuevocor, which is developing gene therapy for certain heart diseases.

Amanat is the chief investment officer of K2 VC, K2 Global and Singapore-based Spice Global controlled by Indian billionaire B K Modi.In 2017, K2 also announced a $183m VC fund focusing on early-stage startups that aim to address global challenges. The majority of K2 limited partners are based outside the US in countries like Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Former Rocket Internet man Liviu Nedef is a digital marketing veteran. Liviu attained an MBA in 2012 at the IE Business School of Madrid in Spain. He is now based in Singapore as the regional head of digital marketing for HOOQ, a video-on-demand service, in November 2016. HOOQ is a joint venture comprising Singtel, Sony Pictures and Warner Brothers with offices in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and India. He had briefly joined Valuklik as co-founder and managing director, before moving to Ensogo as its regional Head of Marketing for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong until October 2016.

Peyman Salehian is an Iranian-born entrepreneur trained in chemical and biomolecular engineering. He founded his first company in 2010 after developing a custom material, and sold his stake in the company in 2013 before pursuing a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).Salehian graduated from the PhD program in 2017 and worked as a research fellow before embarking on one-year stints at two Singapore companies. In late 2019, he and fellow NUS researcher Akbar Vahidi established Allozymes, a startup offering enzyme engineering services using NUS-developed technology under license, with Salehian as CEO and Vahidi as CTO.

Founded in 2017, Rekanext Capital Partners Pte Ltd is an early-stage VC firm based in Singapore and Jakarta. The VC focuses on scaling high potential startups in Southeast Asia to expand regionally by providing expertise, industry experience and networks. Its diverse investment portfolio includes agri-crowdfunding platform iGrow, chat and customer service developer Qiscus and architecture-focused VR Collab that has operations in Singapore and China.

Chen Haokai has a bachelor’s degree and a PhD in integrated circuit design from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Before co-founding SmartAHC in 2014, he worked as an executive at Marvell Asia, a global supplier of semiconductor solutions.

Formerly from Google Singapore, Winston Utomo earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2012 and a Master of Science degree from Columbia University in 2014. Hailing from Surabaya, he was the president of USC Association of Indonesian Students during his studies at USC. Before co-founding the media company PT IDN Media in June 2014, Winston was a Senior Account Strategist at Google Singapore until October 2015. He was also a project manager at St. John Capital Management in 2012.Besides being the co-founder and CEO of IDN Media, he is also the Editor-in-Chief of IDN Media that owns IDNtimes.
