After graduating in 2008 with a bachelor’s in Computer Science from Purdue University, USA, Hendry Rusli worked for Motorola Solutions as a software engineer for a year before returning to Indonesia to become a software development entrepreneur.In 2014, he started working with a property company PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk that was owned by Christina Suriadjaja’s father. Armed with over eight years of programming and software development experience, Hendry was roped in to help build the Travelio platform for the property group.

A programmer turned management executive, Furia Agustinus has over 16 years of work experience in the US and in Indonesia. After graduating with a bachelor’s in Computer Science in 2001 from Cornell University, USA, Furia worked as a programmer for Oracle for three years.In 2004, he returned home to work at Indonesian bank BCA and AIA Financial. In 2013, he joined PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk and was part of the co-founding team that built the company’s new tech subsidiary that was later branded as Travelio. He left Travelio in 2016.

A former computer programmer turned investment banker, Liu Yuan spent two years on Wall Street before returning to China, where he founded two startups, zhekouwang (a discount information site) and ximi.com (online store selling snacks to office workers). Both ventures folded up; Farmlink is his latest undertaking.

Zhang Yongqi was the first in China to sell books and training programs for IELTS (International English Language Testing System), the world’s most popular English language test. He went on to set up Global Education & Technology Group, which ran 450 IELTS centers in 60 cities and listed on Nasdaq. Zhang sold the company in 2011 to the Pearson Group for US$294 million. The former Honeywell agent is now highly influential in education and training. He is a member of the Beijing Democratic League.

Natali Ardianto is a fast and skilled web developer with over 16 years of programming experience. He worked as an IT instructor and as a web developer while reading a degree in Computer Science and a master’s in Information Technology at Universitas Indonesia.He and colleagues had built a golf booking platform in just three months in 2010. He left Golfnesia in 2011 to help launch Tiket.com within 100 days of co-founding the startup. He had also co-founded Urbanesia in 2008, but left the urban lifestyle directory in 2010 before it was acquired by the Kompas Group in 2012.

A programming hobbyist since childhood, Zheng Feike (Frank Zheng) started a career in computing after a four-year education at the Harbin Institute of Technology. Zheng has worked at Renren and Gfan as product manager, and bootstrapped GezBox in 2011.

A graduate of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Hu Xiaodong has his professional background in software and programming. He once worked at Microsoft, and then co-founded Tuhu with Chen Min.

Serial entrepreneur Vita Subiyakti graduated in Information Technology from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta in Indonesia. She joined Ditto Anindita’s software engineering firm PT RuangKerja in 2005 and continues to work there as marketing director. Vita later became a co-founder and public relations guru for Botika.She is also currently involved in other businesses including Kontraksi Nyaman, a mobile app that delivers Gentle Birth hypnobirthing programs. She is also a managing partner at Six Senses Restaurant and building design and developer Zona Bisnis Indonesia.  She also works to promote hardware products for Best Retail Supply firm.

Vicky Hardiman is an experienced creative professional and self-taught programmer. After graduating from Universitas Bina Nusantara in 2010 with a degree in Visual Communication, Vicky worked at e3Learning as a multimedia developer for the Australian e-learning company. He was promoted to an art director role but left in 2014 to become a project manager at Prismafox, a graphic design company. He later became the co-founder and CTO of a crowdfunding platform for music concerts Konserku, originally known as Konsaato.

Syauqy Nurul Aziz graduated in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia in 2014. Prior to graduating, he had joined UGM’s aerospace competition team and co-founded a game development studio. After graduation, he worked as a programmer at mobile app developer Amagine Interactive for a year.  Syauqy also joined fellow UGM graduates to establish Atnic. He left Amagine in 2015 to focus on Atnic projects, including their leading product Jala.

Hanry Ario is a skilled programmer armed with a diverse skillset, from C++ to AutoCAD. In 2014, he graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia and joined fellow alumni to establish electronics startup Atnic.  Hanry is the CTO of Atnic that created the Jala sensor for shrimp farms.

Alif Akbar Fitrawan is a seasoned web developer and programmer. Besides his master’s in Informatics from Indonesia’s Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, he has also participated in hackathons and worked as a web programmer for three years at PT Pratama Kinerja Prakasa. In 2016, he jumped ship and joined Agus Eko Setiyono to establish Ngorder.

Self-styled “professional trash talker” Olivier Pouillon moved from the USA to Bali, Indonesia in 1994, set on a mission to solve the island’s trash problem. In 2011, after years of waste consultancy and NGO work, he founded Bali Recycling, a company that produces upcycled products and promotes “trash-to-cash” programs to locals. (The company has since been renamed KONO Green Living.) In 2014, he and interior designer Febriadi Pratama started an app-based trash collection service, which later became Gringgo.

Alberto Vilva has worked as a web developer, product and graphic designer since 2010, before becoming the CPO and co-founder of Influencity. He graduated in Industrial Product Design and Development from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2014. He is also the creator of artsy-poses.com, a product design programming platform with 5,000 unique visitors. When it was discontinued, over 1,000 petitions were signed to get the platform restored. He also co-founded porlabocamuereelpez.com. The satiric webpage about Spanish politicians was featured by Huffington Post, lasprovincias.es and regional radio stations.

Francisco Castillo, aka Paco Castillo, is the CTO and co-founder of Influencity, a platform that connects brands with worldwide influencers. He is also the CTO of Satech Solutions that he co-founded in 2012. He has extensive experience in backend development such as php, python, javascript (nodejs) as well as database management (postgreSQL, Mysql) and tech-product development. In 2010, he studied video games programming at Esat-València.
