Based in Paris, Giuseppe Fantigrossi has an MBA in International Business and Marketing from the Concordia University. The multi-linguist, with four languages under his belt, became the CEO and co-founder of Play2Speak in 2018.As a consultant, with over 10 years of international experience in process improvement and IT integration solution projects, he attained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt professional qualification in 2013. He has also created a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt full certification program in collaboration with consulting firm Kaizen Way in Paris.

Launched in 2015, the Stanford GSB Impact Fund invests globally in innovators and tech startups whether connected with the university or not and within the area of social impact in seven market segments: education, energy and the environment, fintech, food and agriculture, justice, healthcare, and urban development.  The university-owned fund invests from the pre-seed to Series A rounds and makes investments mostly from January to April. It currently has 11 startups in its portfolio. 

Hengqin CIMC Readysun Innovation & Entrepreneurship Investment Fund is a VC fund set up by China International Marine Containers (CIMC) and Shenzhen Readysun Investment Group on June 14, 2017. The fund focuses on fast-growing high-end equipment manufacturing and new technology sectors, such as intelligent logistics, industrial automation and robots, industrial internet, green new materials.

San Francisco-based DCVC, formerly named Data Collective, has made more than 400 investments in its 20 year history, with deep tech and science in general its key investment interests. It currently has 148 companies in its portfilio and has managed 48 exits to date, including acquisitions by Twitter and Amazon. Its most recent investments have included in the April 2021 £60m Series A round of British antibody medtech Alchemab Therapeutics and in the March 2021 $75m Series B round of Israeli blockchain development tool StarkWare Industries.

Nganjuk native, Rushan Faizal, was also among the few students from the rural regency to pursue tertiary education at the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta where he majored in Computer Science. Besides Rushan, only three other students from his village, Kebon Agung, went to college. The economic disparity between urban Yogyakarta and his village inspired him and Nisa to set up IWAK, a crowdfunding platform for fish farms operated by the low income villagers in Kebon Agung. Prior to that, Rushan had also co-founded Meseji, a Web-based app to help SMEs automate their text message (SMS) marketing campaigns.

Founded in 1992, Danish state investor Vaekstfonden is a growth fund that has financed more than 9,200 Danish tech and non-tech startups with total funding of 33.8bn Danish krone ($1=6.35DKK, or about €5.8bn), mostly at pre-seed and seed levels. The investor also manages funds from the Danish Ministry of Business, state grants, ordinary loans and green investments. Startup investments are normally carried out in cooperation with other public bodies such as innovation incubators. 

Natali Ardianto is a fast and skilled web developer with over 16 years of programming experience. He worked as an IT instructor and as a web developer while reading a degree in Computer Science and a master’s in Information Technology at Universitas Indonesia.He and colleagues had built a golf booking platform in just three months in 2010. He left Golfnesia in 2011 to help launch Tiket.com within 100 days of co-founding the startup. He had also co-founded Urbanesia in 2008, but left the urban lifestyle directory in 2010 before it was acquired by the Kompas Group in 2012.

Based in Spain since 2016, Yannick Rault van der Vaart is a Brazilian entrepreneur with diverse work experiences in USA, Latin America and Europe. The co-founder and CEO of Sheetgo is also a board member of Impact Hub Network that runs co-working spaces in Spain and Brazil.In 2006, the graduate from the University of Miami co-founded EsMiHogar to help immigrants finance property purchases back home. In 2007, he helped Spanish company Inmoferrocarril to launch 7,600 social home mixed-use urban development "Esmihogar". In 2008, he co-founded Abramar to build low income, environment-friendly residential buildings and neighborhoods in Brazil.

Débora Alasraki is an architect by profession and an MBA graduate from the Nimbas-Utrecht Management School. She gained experience as an architect in Germany and moved to Barcelona in 2002 to work as project manager for the 2004 Architecture Forum.She is committed to exploring technology applications in architecture and in 1996, she founded Concern GmbR, the first visual search engine for contemporary architects in Cologne. In 2007, she co-founded Urban Media 3D and its spin-off 3D Click was started in 2016. She is the CEO of 3D Click, an online collaborative platform for 3D packaging and printing.

Pablo Marfil Serrano graduated in industrial design engineering and product development at Nebrija University in Madrid in 2014. He has worked in industrial design, product development and branding for Madrid-based companies, including AECOM and Steelcase.In 2010, he became a member of the competitive Mini racing team Nebrija Motorsport. In 2012, Marfil founded his own agency Marfil Design & Consulting. He also co-founded Scoobic Urban Mobility in 2015 and became the Spanish mobility startup's CTO and business development manager. He is also a founding member and partner of Passion Motorbike Factory.

Spanish-born Juan Verde Suárez is an internationally-renowned strategist for both the public and private sectors, focusing on sustainable economic development. Based in the US, he was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe and Eurasia at the US Department of Commerce during the Obama presidency. He was also the campaign fundraising manager during the 2020 US elections for President Joe Biden.As an angel investor, Verde’s only disclosed investment is his participation in the €10m Series A funding round of Scoobic Urban Mobility in 2021. Besides joining as a board director of the Spanish e-scooter startup, Verde is also head of the Madrid-based Álamo Solutions, a sustainable business development consulting firm.

Enagás Emprende, part of the Spanish Transmission System Operator (TS)  Enagás, is an investment venture backing and accelerating technology-based startups in their scale-up phase. Its portfolio investment mainly includes companies providing renewable gases, green hydrogen, and biomethane, but also sustainable mobility and energy efficiency. With 50 years of experience in energy infrastructures across Spain, the US, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Albania, Greece and Italy, Enagás provides its portfolio startups with mentoring and expertise acting as investors, clients and industry partners.

José Enrique Díaz Buzón graduated in law at the University of Seville in 1999. He has a qualification in EU law, and a master’s in business consultancy. In 2005, he also studied labor relations at IE Business School in Madrid.In 1999, Díaz began practicing as a lawyer, specializing in commercial and corporate law and business consultancy. In 2016, he became the CFO, business development manager and co-founder of Scoobic Urban Mobility. The Spanish mobility startup and the co-founding team’s Passion Motorbike Factory aim to provide three-wheeled EVs and sustainable last-mile delivery solutions.

COO and Co-founder of Fundeen since July 2017, Bautista graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, that included a stint at the University of Nebraska, and a Master's in Road, Canal and Port Engineering in 2018 from Alfonso X el Sabio University. He began his professional career as assistant to the Head of the Conservation and Maintenance Service at PACSA, an urban and environmental services company. He later worked as a Maritime and Port Operator Consultant at Shipping Business Consultants (SBC) and as a Studies and Offers Engineer at Valoriza Facilities before working full-time at Fundeen.

Hossein Jalali is the Iranian CTO and co-founder of Virtuleap, a Portugal-based cognition training and assessment VR startup, where he has worked since 2018. He was also simultaneously co-founder at Lisbon-based fitness search and discovery startup Flexpass, which was acquired by Urban Sports in 2018.He was previously co-founder at Dubai-based gaming startup Gameguise, the publishing arm of Edoramedia. Before this, Jalali spent six years as Head of Online at Dubai-based satellite TV company Al Aan. He holds an MBA in Business and Finance from the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and a bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from Azad University in Tehran, Iran.
