Born in 1987, Wu became so obsessed with the game Counter-Strike as a high school student his family sent him to Canada to focus on his studies. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Toronto in 2010. After graduation, he worked briefly as a game developer and an auditor in the TMT industry. Before joining Hero Entertainment as co-founder and president, Wu was the youngest vice president in the history of ZhenFund, a Chinese VC firm. From 2012 to 2015, he helped ZhenFund invest in multiple successful gaming projects, including several developed by Hero Entertainment.

Sacha Gordillo is a business management and finance graduate from Comillas Pontifical University (ICADE), with over 10 years of experience in financial trading, specializing in fixed income. Since 2006, he has worked as a trader at TransMarket Group LLC, OSTC Ltd and SM Investments. He is now the CIO and head trader at POW Partners that he co-founded in 2016 in Madrid.The cryptocurrency ecosystem has always fascinated the veteran trader. In 2018, Gordillo joined GeoDB as co-founder and COO. He is one of the key figures in the conceptualization of GeoDB, a global decentralized data marketplace based in Madrid.

Daniela Seixas is the Portuguese-born CEO and co-founder of Tonic App for medical doctors, where she has worked since 2016. She co-founded the company with three fellow students at IE Business School in Madrid during MBA studies in 2015. She was also a neuroradiologist in the Portuguese hospital Vila Nova de Gaia until 2017, when she dedicated herself full time to Tonic App. Seixas is additionally an independent expert on ethics and scientific evaluations at the European Commission and an affiliate professor at the University of Porto, where she studied for a PhD in Neuroscience and lectured in medicine.

Jesus Cano is currently working as a senior engineer at Spanish aerospace manufacturer ITD, with over 20 years of experience in project management, electrical engineering and other roles including the design of Airbus 380 and other aircraft in the UK. Besides the ITD projects with BAE systems, he was also based in France for over three years as a senior design engineer in Toulouse. The aeronautical engineer from Madrid's Polytechnic University became the co-founder and CTO of Unmanned Technical Works (UTW) in 2015. He is also co-founder and deputy CTO of Aventix that provides specialized UTW-related engineering services.

Graphic and UI/UX designer Miguel Jesus is a graduate from Aveiro University, the alma mater of TOPDOX co-founder Nelson Pereira. Both men had also worked at INEGI Porto before becoming entrpreneurs. In 2012, the two friends co-founded startup TOP Research that participated in Rockstart's accelerator program in 2014 and pivoted into TOPDOX. However, since the demise of TOPDOX in December 2017, Jesus is now working as lead designer at Swiss food sustainability platform Foodways. In 2018, the university mates have co-founded another tech startup ikuTeam, with Jesus as lead designer. The file-sharing platform is part of Atlassian Marketplace.

An expert in the field of VR and 3D imaging and display, Hong Xu was in charge of the glass-free 3D project when he worked as R&D director at Chongqing Dromax Photoelectronic Co Ltd in 2013.In 2016, he co-founded DGene to design and build a complete dynamic and static light-field acquisition system, currently the only one of its kind in the world. The system has been applied by Alibaba Group in its God of Creation project that allows consumers to view 3D visuals while browsing through physical shops online from home. 

Keenan Wyrobek is a graduate from Stanford University and Johns Hopkins University specializing in medical product design and robotics. He has developed several patents for medical robotics and other high-tech products.He also co-founded the Personal Robotics Program at Willow Garage, where he was involved in launching the Robot Operating System (ROS) and the first personal robot for software application development. In 2014, Wyrobek co-founded Zipline International and became head of product and engineering at the Silicon Valley-based company that makes drones for delivering critical medical supplies to remote parts of the world.

Shannon Falconer graduated with a master’s in botany at the University of Vancouver in 2006. She also completed a PhD in biochemistry at The McMaster University in 2014. She went on to work as a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University until 2016 when she decided to become the CEO and co-founder of biotech startup Because Animals. She also led the biotech’s R&D team to develop plant-based nutritional cookies and treats for dog and cats. Because Animals now aims to produce the world’s first cell-based cultured meat products for pets.

Diliara Lupenko is the COO and co-founder of Impress, an invisible aligners company regarded as one of the fastest-growing telemedicine startups in Europe. Prior to Impress, Lupenko served for over eight years as COO and CFO of Aquaton, a bathroom furniture plant and a subsidiary of the ROCA Group. She also worked in the Transaction Service Group in KPMG, managing financial due diligence of over 100 targets, pre-sale preparation of vendors, and restructuring, amongst other tasks. Impress is not Lupenko’s first entrepreneurial experience. In 2013 she co-founded Style Me Up the first Russian marketplace for designers of jewelry and accessories.

David Dieteren Ribeiro had aspired to become a professional underwater welder, but as fate would have it, he was exposed to the world of electronics and would go on to pursue an education in the field, culminating in a master’s in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Aveiro. Dieteren has since used his knowledge to co-found two companies, Findster Technologies,  a dual pet tracker and fitness tech, and SWORD Health, the first remote physiotherapy tech. Dieteren currently lives in the Netherlands where he works as Process Control Engineer for Sitech Services.  

Juan Romero González is the Spanish co-founder and CTO of RatedPower, which produces software to automate the design of solar power plants. He has worked there since 2017. Romero led the software development of pvDesign, the company’s first product.Prior to this, he worked at Spanish renewable energy company Solida for six years, including four as a project engineer. Romero holds two master’s degrees: one in Data Science from Madrid’s King Juan Carlos University and the other in Project Management from Espen Business School, also in Madrid. Previously, he studied Industrial Engineering at Carlos III University of Madrid.

Julien Denoël is the Belgian co-founder and COO of UK-based VR edtech for soft-skills training Bodyswaps, where he has worked since its founding in 2019. Prior to this, he was CEO and managing director at VR marketing agency Somewhere Else from 2016, before the agency pivoted to training and skills development and became the basis of Bodyswaps’ product offer. The agency had clients such as Adidas, for which Somewhere Else produced an interactive VR in-store promotional tool that was deployed in over 100 locations in China, Europe and the US and was nominated for a VR Award and an Immersive Perspective award. Denoël has also been a guest lecturer in VR and AR at INSEEC business school in London and Geneva since 2017. Prior to this, Denoël  also co-founded another VR agency, Exheb, in 2014, where he worked for almost three years as VR Producer. He also worked in digital marketing for Quotient Technology, formerly Coupons.com for two years, and in business development and marketing at the WorldOne agency for the same amount of time. Denoël holds both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree from HEC Management School in Liege, Belgium, the former in Marketing and Organization, the latter in Management.    

To help young girls excel in the field of technology, Olaide Olambiwonnu takes time out of running Performetric, the tech startup she co-founded, to mentor middle-school girls. Olambiwonnu holds master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from MIT. She is currently the COO of Performetric.

Dimas Harry Priawan made the switch from engineering to work at e-commerce solutions firm aCommerce when he returned to Indonesia, after pursuing a master’s in Environmental and Energy Management at the University of Twente in the Netherlands.The Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduate from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University had also previously worked as a device engineer for ST Microelectronics. He is now CEO of Dekoruma which he co-founded with fellow NTU graduate Aruna Harsa.

TV celebrity and influencer Luo Zhenyu holds a PhD in Journalism and Communications from the Communication University of China. After working at CCTV for eight years producing shows on finance and the economy, he resigned from the organization in 2008. Since then Luo has embarked on a journey he describes as “showing this fat face to all,” which he began by hosting popular TV shows on business and the economy and continued by founding Luoji Siwei in 2014.
