Traveloka is an Indonesian online travel agency that reached unicorn status in 2017 after receiving funding from Expedia. It has since added new services, including hotel and car rental bookings to its offerings. 

Stanford graduate Derianto Kusuma had worked at LinkedIn and Microsoft before joining Traveloka. Derianto met Traveloka co-founder Ferry Unardi as interns at Microsoft. He holds a bachelor’s in Computer Science.

Harvard MBA dropout Ferry Unardi has a bachelor’s in Mathematics and Computer Science from Purdue University. He later dropped out of Harvard’s MBA program, driven by his desire to focus on Traveloka. Previous to Traveloka, Ferry worked at Microsoft. He was born in 1988.

Indonesia’s most popular OTA, Traveloka is an easy-to-use source of cheap regional flights and accommodation for the fast-rising Indonesian and Southeast Asian middle class.

Ex-NetSuite software engineer Albert (who goes by one name) has a bachelor’s in Mathematics and Computer Science from Purdue University. He was a classmate of Traveloka co-founder and CEO Ferry Unardi at Purdue.

Ricky Winata is a software engineer and developer who established mobile banking platform Payfazz in 2016. Upon graduation in 2012, he worked at as a software developer for two years before joining software development firm Topcoder. Ricky then assumed the role of senior engineer at Traveloka, a competitor of before establishing Payfazz. Ricky holds a bachelor's in Computer Science from Universitas Bina Nusantara, Indonesia.  

A recent Information Technology graduate of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, Adinda Budi Kusuma Putra co-founded Indonesian natural language processing startup with his ITB lecturers. As a student, he had interned at unicorn travel portal Traveloka and event booking startup Goers while also developing an award-winning "hoax analyzer" as part of a school project.  Adinda left in October 2018.

Alvin Kumarga is an experienced technical consultant and a Magna Cum Laude graduate in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, USA. Alvin was a market research intern and later became a special projects consultant at Hybrid Silica Technologies before graduating in 2011. He worked in Boston at Stroud Consulting before returning to Indonesia in 2014 to work for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).He left BCG in October 2015 to develop new products and corporate business for online travel agency Traveloka. In the meantime, he also co-founded Airy Rooms in 2015 but exited the startup in June 2017.

Ryan Haryadi went to Diablo Valley College in the US and Indiana University, Bloomington, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Informatics. In 2010, he returned to Indonesia, where he briefly joined ORIX Indonesia Finance as an account manager till the end of 2011. In 2012, he joined online travel aggregator Pegipegi, which is now owned by Traveloka. In 2013, Haryadi moved on and joined Bachtiar Rifai at digital marketing consultancy WireHub. The duo continued on to establish digital marketing automation service firm Kofera Technology, and, subsequently, spun off a second company, Volantis Technology.

Bachtiar Rifai graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Physics from Universitas Gadjah Mada, but his career has led him towards entrepreneurial pursuits, especially in technology. While he was in university, he worked freelance as a web designer and SEO consultant, and in 2008, founded his own digital marketing company, Jogja Web Services, which was dedicated to helping SMEs. In 2012, he left Jogja Web Services, joined travel booking site Pegipegi – now owned by Traveloka – and founded a new digital marketing consultancy, WireHub.  In 2014, he joined Lazada and In 2015, Rifai and his co-founders established Kofera, which offers automated digital marketing using AI. Kofera helps its clients efficiently connect various types of data, including sales and stock, on one platform, where the data can be accessed, processed and used to automatically guide ad spending. In 2018, Rifai spun off a new business from Kofera: Volantis, a company that applies Kofera's data-driven principles to more use cases and provides enterprise clients with end-to-end services.

Tessa Clarke is the British CEO and co-founder of food-sharing app OLIO that was inspired by her experience of having to throw away perfectly good unused food when she was packing up to move from Switzerland back to the UK in 2014.After graduating with a first-class degree in social and political sciences at the University of Cambridge in UK in 1997, she worked for three years at the Boston Consulting Group as a junior associate. She joined an MBA program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2002 and met Saasha Celestial-One, who was also studying for an MBA at Stanford. In 2015, Clarke and Celestial-One decided to use their savings to create a food-sharing app OLIO after successfully testing the idea as a private WhatsApp group in North London.Before becoming an entrepreneur in 2015, Clarke has held various senior management roles since completing her MBA in 2004. She worked for global business publisher EMAP from 2005 until 2009, when she joined Dyson Inc as e-commerce managing director (MD). In 2013, she left Dyson to become MD of fintech PayLater based in Switzerland run by the Wonga payday loan company. Known then as Tessa Cook, she later became Wonga’s MD for eight months when she was tasked with “cleaning up” the tarnished reputation of the high interest loan company. From 2013 to 2021, she was also chair of the management board of St George’s Palace, a boutique apart-hotel and spa complex in Bansko, Bulgaria.In 2018, she became a fellow at Unreasonable, an organization that supports social and environmental entrepreneurship. For two years until 2021, Clarke was ambassador for the Meaningful Business 100 global event that advocates the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. She was also a board member for six years at Contentive, a global B2B media and information company. In 2021, her busy schedule now includes becoming a business mentor for not-for-profit Virgin Startup.
