TusPark Technology Asset Management Co., Ltd., and TusPark Business Incubator Co., Ltd., were both founded in 2001 as the investment arms of Tsinghua Science Park. Affiliated with Tsinghua University, Tsinghua Science Park promotes technology innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2007, the two companies were merged and became TusPark Ventures. The firm employs an “investment + incubation” model when investing in Chinese high-tech startups. TusPark Ventures currently manages over RMB 3 billion in assets.

VAS Ventures is the investment vehicle of Martin Varsavsky, a serial entrepreneur from Argentina and founder of companies such as Jazztel, Fon, Ya.com, Prelude and Viatel.Varsavsky began teaching entrepreneurship at Columbia University in 2012. He is also a member of the Advisory Council for Innovation in Justice, created by the Spanish Ministry of Justice in February 2018.VAS Ventures is headquartered in Madrid and has been co-investing with German publishing house Axel Springer since 2019.

One of the earliest backers of Chinese internet firms, most famously Tencent and JD.com, Hillhouse Capital is a US$20 billion fund today. Founded in 2005 by Zhang Lei, a Yale School of Management graduate (the initial US$20 million used to start Hillhouse came from the Yale Endowment), the long-term fundamental equity investor is focused on China and Asia, particularly the consumer, TMT, industrials and healthcare sectors. It manages capital for institutional clients, e.g., university endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds, and invests across all equity stages.

Lei is co-founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, one of the world’s largest smartphone companies. Born in December 1969, he holds a degree in Engineering from Wuhan University. With a personal net worth of US$11.2 billion, Lei has invested in 33 companies as a business angel, including Vancl.com, UCWeb, and YY Inc., a live streaming social media platform in China. He has also invested in 270 companies through Shunwei Capital, where he is a founding partner. Lei's investment focuses are e-commerce, mobile internet and social networking.

Founded in 1972 by Sudono Salim, aka Liem Sioe Liong, the Salim Group is now headed by his son Anthoni Salim. The Salim Group is one of Indonesia's biggest diversified conglomerates, with business interests in real estate, banking, automotive, telecommunications and F&B. Flagship brands include Bank BCA, Bogasari (wheat flour manufacturer) and Indofood, one of the world's largest producer of instant noodles. The Salim Group is a partner of NUS Enterprise, the startup incubator wing of the National University of Singapore.

Salvador García Andrés received his MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Alfonso X el Sabio University in 2000. He also studied Finance at the London School of Economics in 2002.He has held several senior positions in the FX and trading desks of ABN Amro, Rabobank and Vega Capital. In 2009, he co-founded Ebury, a fintech company that offers a range of financial products to help SMEs expand internationally.García Andrés is an active angel investor in European tech startups.

Carlos Gallardo is an industrial engineer with an MBA from Stanford University. He spent most of his career at the pharmaceutical company Almirall and was promoted through the ranks rapidly holding multiple C-level roles. He became the MD for UK and Ireland for over five years and joined Almirall’s board of directors in 2014.In 2015, he founded CG Health Ventures, a VC firm investing in early-stage digital health companies worldwide. He’s also an active angel investor and advisor for startups developing frontier technologies in the healthcare sector. 

Founded in Hong Kong in 2018, Lake Bleu Capital currently operates in both Hong Kong and Shanghai. With assets worth billions of US dollars under management, it mainly invests in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices and healthcare services companies in Asia, especially Greater China. Its limited partners include sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, foundations, pension funds, and family offices across the world.With a long-term investment strategy, Lake Bleu Capital invests through both public and private equity with a focus on mid- to late-stage companies.

Pedro Trinité is the co-founder of ZUVINOVA, a B2B company that owns and operates Transactional Track Record (TTR). The premium online service provides transactional and financial information on Latin American and Iberian markets (M&A, Capital Markets, Project Finance and Acquisition Finance). Before ZUVINOVA, he was a director at Iberpartners and a business consultant for Accenture UK. Trinité received his International MBA degree from IE Business School and his master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior de Informática e Gestão (ISIG). He also attended the Wharton Global Consulting Practicum at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sandeep Tandon is a serial entrepreneur and investor, with a bachelor’s and a master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, USA. He is currently the managing director of Tandon Technology Ventures, part of Sandeep’s Tandon Group that is based in San Jose in California. He also co-founded Freecharge that was recently sold to Paytm, an e-commerce brand owned by India’s mobile internet company One97 Communications. Sandeep is an active angel investor and mentor, with personal investments in 15 startups including a first Series A funding of US$ 4.5 million in Unacademy in January 2017.

Hadi Wenas joined the Lippo Group in 2015 as the current CEO of Lippo’s e-commerce site MatahariMall. A graduate in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, Hadi was able to work as an applications engineer at Oracle while reading a master’s degree in Computer Science at Stanford University in the US. He returned to Indonesia and worked at McKinsey in Jakarta for six years before jumping into the tech scene as a co-founder and managing director of Zalora Indonesia. After exiting Zalora in 2013, he became the CEO of tech firm aCommerce until June 2015.

Wu received his bachelor's in Tourism Management from Nanjing University in 1995. His background is in e-commerce. Wu was one of the original founders of Luoji Siwei, but he left the company in 2013. His current business venture is Context Lab, a corporate services platform. Wu participated in Kuaipeilian's seed funding round.

Pablo Fernandez Alveraz is the CEO and co-founder of Clicars.com, an online marketplace for second-hand cars. Clicars secured investments from former executives working at Mercedes, General Motors, Santander Bank and Mapfre. He has degrees from Harvard Business School and the University of Madrid. He spent over 14 years working as an investment banker and consultant in Europe, USA and Latin America before diving into the world of startups. The former Boston Consulting Group (BCG) consultant was also part of the team that led the corporate strategy and digital transformation of Santander Bank in the US.

Kim Jung is a South Korean businessman and the man behind Nexon, Korea's largest gaming company. He is Chairman and CEO of NXC Corporation, Nexon’s holding company. NXC diversified into cryptocurrency and holds 83% of Korbit, a Seoul-based exchange.In 2016, Kim was accused of bribery, having favoured a prosecutor who was his university friend. Although he was found not guilty due to lack of evidence, Kim resigned as a director of Nexon.Kim is also partner at Collaborative Fund, a New York-based VC firm.

Blanca Hernández Rodriguez holds a Master's Degree in Finance from CUNEF, a private Spanish university specializing in banking and finance that is based in Madrid. She has over 20 years’ experience in value investing. Her career started in the Arcalia group. She later established and managed a family office fund.Today, Hernández Rodriguez is the CEO of Magallanes Value Investors SA SGIIC, a Spanish asset management company offering portfolio management, equity, financial planning and advisory services.
