A former VP at Nasdaq-listed eFuture, a supplier of software and services to China’s retail and consumer goods industries, Zhao Tingchao has a PhD and a bachelor’s degree from Chongqing University. He had two years of experience in O2O commerce before founding Jimaisong; and was also founder and Chief Editor of Electronics World Magazine (writing on e-commerce).

Calvin Lukmantara graduated with a bachelor’s in Mathematics from the University of Indonesia. Besides co-founding Kumparan, Calvin was also a co-founder of Detikcom. He still works as a director at PT Agranet Multicitra Siberkom that owns the online media portal Detikcom. He is known as the key person responsible for M&A projects and external relationships of Detikcom.

Margana Mohamad studied Management and Entrepreneurship at Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia, from 2010 to 2014. As a student, he had run his own Bandung-based bartending and kitchen consultancy, which he left in 2016 to join pharmaceutical giant GSK. Between 2017 and 2018, Margana was managing director at outsourcing firm Palu Business Services, after which he established gig marketplace startup Sampingan.

Founder and CEO of Maimai. Lin studied computer science at Tsinghua University. He studied for half a year at the University of Maryland after graduation, then went back to China and joined Sogou, a search engine startup that later grew into a unicorn. He worked in Sogou for seven years, then briefly at a recruitment website, before deciding to start Maimai.

Vanadi is co-founder of Digital Happiness, an Indonesian video game development studio. He directed the studio’s commercially successful title and popular video game, DreadOut and its sequel and related titles. Vanadi was also responsible for the storytelling in those titles. He is self-taught and works primarily with the gaming engine, Unreal. Digital Happiness is his first professional endeavor. 

Charles Xue Biqun (b. 1953), alias Xue Manzi, is a popular Chinese-American billionaire venture capitalist and angel investor with over 10 million followers on Weibo. He studied foreign relations at the University of California, Berkeley. His most famous deal to date is his US$250,000 investment in Unitech in the early 1990s, which later became UTStarcom. The company went public in 2000, reaching a post-IPO value of over US$5 billion. He was also chairman of 8848.com (the earliest Chinese e-commerce network). Xue has invested in many internet startups in China, including PCPOP, Autohome, Xueqiu, CreatyChina, Community001 and 265.com (bought by Google).

Based in Porto, Nuno Miller joined Sonae as head of digital channels in 2015 and eventually became the chief digital and information officer at Sonae S&F in March 2018. He was CIO at Farfetch for three years until 2014 when he was named as European CIO of the year by CIONET and INSEAD.Graduating as an IT engineer in 1994, Miller initially worked as a systems engineer at DTTI for four years before joining Deloitte's as a business unit manager. He completed an executive MBA at EUDEM in 2002 and became the CIO and director of Organtex.

Led by co-founder and Managing Partner Alexandre Barbosa, Faber Ventures is a pan-European venture capital firm with offices in Lisbon and London. It was founded in 2012 with VCs Caixa Capital and Shilling Capital Partners investors in Faber Ventures.The firm works alongside founders from idea to market, either as co-founders or angel investors, and typically continues to support the startup as seed co-investors. Faber Ventures also supports startups at the seed stage with financial investment and hands-on mentorship. The company has invested in 19 startups to date in varied sectors and managed two exits, Glitter and Gleam.

Francesc Riverola is a business angel and the chairman of FXStreet. He launched FXStreet in 2000 while working as an e-Research Manager at PwC and at the IESE e-Business Center. He was CEO of the worldwide forex reference portal until 2012.He is also an investor at Lanta Digital Ventures, a Barcelona-based VC for early-stage startups in Spain and Europe. Born in Palo Alto in California USA, he moved to Barcelona as a child. He has an Economics degree from the University of Barcelona and a PDD in management development for company directors run by IESE Business School.

Well-known for co-founding JobsCentral in Singapore, Lim Der Shing has been an angel investor since 2009. JobsCentral was acquired by CareerBuilder USA in 2011 and Der Shing became its Asia-Pacific MD. He left the new role after six months in 2014 to become a full-time investor and partner at Singapore-based VC Jungle Ventures. The electrical and electronic engineer graduated in 1999 with a Summa cum Laude from the University of Michigan, USA. As a scholar, he returned to work at Sembcorp before co-founding JobsCentral’s predecessor JobsFactory in 2000 with co-founder and wife Huang Shao-Ning.

Gan is best known for being the 67th employee of Alibaba and the former COO of Meituan-Dianping. Before joining Alibaba in 1999, Gan had worked at a state-owned coal trading enterprise for five years. At Alibaba, he served in multiple roles, including as director of online operation, director of marketing, regional manager and vice president. Gan left Alibaba to become COO of Meituan in 2011. In 2016, he was named the first president of Meituan-Dianping's Internet Plus University, which was founded to train company employees. Gan resigned from Meituan-Dianping in 2017 to join Hillhouse Capital as managing partner.

Founded in 2017 by the ex-CEO of Credit Suisse bank Gaël de Boissard, 2B Capital is venture capital firm based in London. Its first investment in CrowdProcess Inc and the startup's James risk management platform was as part of a US$2.7-million seed funding in August 2017. The VC primarily invests in fintech and structured credit and mezzanine lending to the new lenders and challenger banks.

Established in 2012, Mountain Nazca is a Latin American VC with offices in Mexico, Chile and Colombia. Its operations are centered in México City, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and Bogotá to back startups willing to consolidate their market positions in Latin American countries. The firm also facilitates cross-border investments between Europe, Latin America and the US. It has managed two exits to date, Petsy and Nubelo, and was the lead investor in 35 of its more than 60 investments. Its recent investments include Destacame's US$3 million Series A funding round, and the Series A funding rounds of Albo and Crehana.

Ocean Link is a private equity firm that mainly invests in consumer goods, tourism and TMT sectors in China. It currently manages two USD funds and one RMB fund. It has offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong. The limited partners include Chinese and global corporates, financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds and family offices. China’s largest online travel agency Trip.com and international private equity firm General Atlantic are strategic partners.In April 2020, Ocean Link proposed to acquire all of the outstanding ordinary shares of the Chinese online classifieds marketplace 58.com. The NYSE-listed company is in the process of evaluating the proposal.
