Formerly known as Google Ventures, GV is the investment arm of Alphabet Inc. Although Alphabet is its sole limited partner, the VC operates independently from Google. The loss-making e-commerce unicorn went public at $12 a share in February 2020, closing at $13.50 on its first day out, for a market capitalization of less than half the $1.1 billion Casper was valued at in a private funding round in 2019.
