Paul Allen was an American business magnate and investor. Best known as Microsoft Corporation co-founder with his childhood friend Bill Gates, he left the company after eight years after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease. Allen died in 2018 at the age of 65, with a net worth of $20.3bn.His multibillion-dollar investment arm Vulcan Capital has backed tech startups around the world, including Spotify, Alibaba Group and Flipkart.
