Based in San Francisco, the Mulago Foundation is a philanthropic foundation designed to carry on the life work of pediatrician Rainer Arnhold who died in 1993 while working in the mountains of Bolivia. He originally set up the Mulago Foundation in 1968, naming it after a hospital in Uganda. His Jewish family, bankers for generations, continued to support the foundation for impact investing across diverse sectors and geographies, with scalable solutions to alleviate poverty.It has invested in 61 companies to date. Successful ventures include: Kenya’s Komaza that raised $28m in its 2020 Series B and Myanmar’s Proximity Finance, a fintech for small-holder farmers that raised $14m in 2020. Komaza helps poor families turn dry land into small-scale, income-generating tree farms, benefiting more than 2m farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Co-founder of Seedrs, one of Europe’s most popular crowdfunding sites, and a founding member of Beta-i, a pioneer and one of the most influential organizations in the Portuguese startup scene today, Carlos Silva holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a master’s in Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Technico. He is currently also Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Faber Ventures.

Soares is co-founder and Director of Engineering at AddVolt, the first renewable energy tech to replace diesel engines for cold chain transport, where he has worked since 2013, when it was still a research project. Prior to that, he worked as both Assistant Professor and Research Engineer at the University of Porto's Faculty of Engineering, the birthplace of AddVolt. Soares holds a master's degree from the same institution in electronic and computer engineering and a Master of Science in management and innovation from the Technical University of Eindhoven, Netherlands. 

Ex-Alibaba executive who is now a key figure in the Zhejiang province internet technology startup scene. In 1999, Li Zhiguo (Frank Li) moved alone to Hangzhou and became the 46th employee of Alibaba. In 2004, he left Alibaba and founded the highly popular life services platform Koubei (later acquired by Alibaba). He is also an active investor, having co-founded early-stage VC fund Ameba Capital in 2011. Li’s investments in Chinese startups include Mogujie, Kuaidadi and Zhaocai.

A member of the family that founded the Zamora Company (which owns Spanish liquor brands Martin Miller, Ramón Bilbao and Licor 43), Ángel Zamora is currently an active entrepreneur, investor and strategy consultant for several European MNCs. He has explored investment opportunities within the Spanish technology ecosystem, backing startups with global ambitions and supporting them in their overseas expansion, especially to Latin American countries. TusPark Technology Asset Management Co., Ltd., and TusPark Business Incubator Co., Ltd., were both founded in 2001 as the investment arms of Tsinghua Science Park. Ignacio Martín de Andrés has over eight years of experience working at consultancies such as KPMG, PwC and Grant Thornton.He made an angel investment in Reclamador.es, a web platform that manages and automates consumer claims, and has also helped define the company's strategy and service-level agreement.Since 2019, he's been a partner at Venture Partnership, supporting the company by defining growth strategy, KPIs and process optimization for startups in the company’s investment portfolio.

Everis is a Madrid-based consulting firm that was acquired in 2014 by Japan's NTT Data, the sixth-largest IT services company in the world. With a turnover of €1.17bn, the company offers consultancy services in banking, healthcare, industry, insurance, media, public sector and telecommunications across Europe, in Latin America and the US.  The company has established an innovation center, NextGen, focusing on technologies that drive business disruption, such as, Cloud models, Blockchain, Big Data, AI and Robotics. 

Founded in 2011, Ankur Capital is an early-stage venture capital fund based in Mumbai. The VC invests in Indian-based startups in diverse sectors like agritech, food, health and education. It has 15 startups in its investment portfolio and has managed one exit to date, Carmel Organics.Recent investments include seed funding for seafood supply chain platform Captain Fresh and agriproduce marketplace Vegrow, as well as participation in the $20m Series C round of predictive farming platform Cropin.

bp ventures is an investment arm of the energy group BP with an annual venture investment budget between $150m and $200m. The group invests in new energy solutions, with over 30 startups’ investments in its portfolio supporting BP’s core business in oil and gas.bp ventures has increasingly invested over the past years in carbon-management technologies, low-carbon products, and advanced mobility through EV charging companies like the Chinese Shanghai PowerShare Tech and the California-based FreeWire Technologies.

American financial services company Capital Group was established in 1931. As one of the world’s oldest investment management firms, it has over $2tn assets under management. Major known investments include arms and aerospace firm BAE Systems and British American Tobacco. In 1992, Capital Group established Capital Group Private Markets, which specializes in alternative private equity and venture capital investments. This organization has invested in companies like ride-hailing firms Gojek and Didi Chuxing, Philippines media conglomerate ABS-CBN, and more.
