Founded by the Ontario government and Ontario Teachers' Federation in 1990, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is Canada's largest single-profession pension plan. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario Teachers' also has investment offices in London, Singapore and Hong Kong. With C$204.7bn worth of assets under its management, Ontario Teachers' is responsible for the pensions of 329,000 working and retired teachers in Ontario. Its diverse global portfolio of assets generates a total-fund net return of 9.5% annually. A new investment department, Teachers’ Innovation Platform, was set up in 2019 to invest in late-stage ventures that deliver disruptive technologies.

Founded by pioneering tech investor Ozi Amanat in 2015, K2 Global is a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley and Singapore. Amanat, who moved to Singapore in 2012, is one of Twitter’s early backers, raising $25m to invest in the social media startup that later went public in 2013. The Harvard graduate in psychology and economics also invested in Uber, Spotify and Alibaba during his career as a venture capitalist. Amanat is the chief investment officer of K2 VC, K2 Global and Singapore-based Spice Global controlled by Indian billionaire B K Modi.In 2017, K2 also announced a $183m VC fund focusing on early-stage startups that aim to address global challenges. The majority of K2 limited partners are based outside the US in countries like Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Ex-Alibaba executive who is now a key figure in the Zhejiang province internet technology startup scene. In 1999, Li Zhiguo (Frank Li) moved alone to Hangzhou and became the 46th employee of Alibaba. In 2004, he left Alibaba and founded the highly popular life services platform Koubei (later acquired by Alibaba). He is also an active investor, having co-founded early-stage VC fund Ameba Capital in 2011. Li’s investments in Chinese startups include Mogujie, Kuaidadi and Zhaocai.

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Lightspeed Venture Partners is an early-stage VC firm that focuses on the enterprise and consumer sectors. Over the past two decades, the firm has backed more than 300 companies globally. It currently has over US$4bn in committed capital. The firm invests mainly in the US, Israel, India and China. It also works in collaboration with Lightspeed China Partners, a China-focused venture capital firm, to make investments in China. 

Jerry Ng was the CEO of Indonesian financial institution Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional (BTPN) for a decade until BTPN's merger with Sumitomo Mitsui Indonesia. Ng participated in the seed round of smart retail kiosk startup Warung Pintar in 2017 and again in early 2019 for its Series B funding. 

Founded in Beijing in 2015, Frees Fund is an asset management company with a portfolio valued at RMB 3.6bn. Frees primarily invests in early-stage startups in diverse sectors including fintech, education, healthcare, entertainment, hardware, intelligent manufacturing and SaaS. The VC is incorporated as Shanghai Ziyou Investment Management Co Ltd.

Green Pine Capital Partners was founded in Shenzhen 1997. The firm has over RMB 16 billion of assets under management. It has invested mainly in biopharmaceuticals, healthcare, new energy, new materials, advanced manufacturing and AI. The company has invested in more than 300 companies, about 60 of which have already gone public or been merged/acquired. Early-stage tech startups account for half of its portfolio.It is headquartered in Shenzhen, with branches in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. 

Founded in 2011, Ankur Capital is an early-stage venture capital fund based in Mumbai. The VC invests in Indian-based startups in diverse sectors like agritech, food, health and education. It has 15 startups in its investment portfolio and has managed one exit to date, Carmel Organics.Recent investments include seed funding for seafood supply chain platform Captain Fresh and agriproduce marketplace Vegrow, as well as participation in the $20m Series C round of predictive farming platform Cropin.

Passion Capital is an early stage venture capital firm that has been involved in several large European technology exits, such as QXL/Tradus, Ricardo.de and Last.fm. The partners include Robert Dighero, Eileen Burbidge and Stefan Glaenzer who believe that the passion and ability of the founders are critical keys to success. Passion Capital has a hub for activities in White Bear Yard in London and invests in digital media and technology companies.

Kinzon Capital was co-founded by several former senior executives of Fosun Kinzon Capital (now called Fosun RZ Capital) in 2016. It invests primarily in early- and growth-stage TMT companies from China and the US. Kinzon Capital has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Silicon Valley and has invested RMB 2 billion in potential companies.

Owned by the Catalan Government, the Catalan Finance Institute (ICF) is a public institution that offers a range of financing solutions, including loans and venture capital. ICF aims to boost private angel and seed investments within the Catalan entrepreneurial ecosystem, while diversifying its investment sources. In 2012, ICF started investing in early-stage startups based in the Catalan territory, providing equity loans of between €50,000 and €200,000. It also participates in syndicated funding within a network of Catalan business angels.

Lenovo Accelerator was co-founded by Lenovo Capital and Incubator Group and Hong Kong-based business park Cyberport in Hong Kong in May 2016. It invests mainly in early-stage startups specialized in cutting-edge technologies and TMT. It is Lenovo Group's first startup accelerator in China. Each startup selected by Lenovo Accelerator receives RMB 500,000 to RMB 1m in funding from Lenovo Group.

Prometheus Capital was founded in 2012 as a family fund of Wang Jianlin, founder and chairman of the Dalian Wanda Group, China's biggest real estate conglomerate, and his son Wang Sicong. It is now owned and controlled by Wang Sicong. With over US$1 billion assets under management, the firm invests mainly in early- and growth-stage startups in the real estate, consumer products, entertainment and fintech sectors around the world. It has made investments worth RMB 3 billion in total.

In January 2006, Chen Hua (Tony Chen) co-founded Kuxun.cn, a Chinese travel and hotel search engine that was acquired by TripAdvisor in 2009. Chen exited Kuxun in late 2008 and joined Alibaba in early 2009, working on the application of search engine technology. He resigned in February 2011 and started a mobile tech enterprise. In May 2012, he released Changba, an app offering users a portable solo KTV booth that attracted over 1m users in just one week after its release.

Established in 2003, Indonusa Dwitama is a holding company that manages and develops a range of investment portfolios in Indonesia, including mining, financial services and information technology. In the mining industry, it has a portfolio of andesite and bauxite mines, and it also invested in an oil and gas mining company. As a tech investor, it is a relatively early investor in Tokopedia when it joined in 2016. It has also invested in VOSPAY, a digital payment intermediary, and cross-border money transfer company Wallex.
