GaochengVenture Capital is a new growth fund. A subsidiary of Hillhouse Capital, it was started by Hillhouse founding partner Hong Jing. She oversaw the company’s private equity business, strategizing and expanding its investments in multiple industries.

Telmo Valido is Director of Corporate Underwriting at Hudson Advisors. His previous employers include Permira, CABB, Telepizza and the Boston Consulting Group. Valido received his master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Founded in 1999, Ctrip is China’s leading OTA platform providing accommodation reservation, transportation ticketing, packaged tours, corporate travel management and other destination services. It has over 250 million registered users and is now one of the world’s top three OTA companies by market value.

Founded at the end of 2019, Youshan Capital has raised RMB 3.3bn for its first fund, landing FOF, listed companies, state-owned companies and government guidance funds as its limited partners. It mainly invests in the sectors including TMT, medtech and advanced manufacturing. 

Singapore/Japan-based venture capital firm Rebright Partners is backed by publicly listed Japanese internet companies and leading angel investors. The team operates in Tokyo, Singapore and Bangalore.

Co-founder and former CTO of Elong, one of China’s leading mobile and online travel agencies, Chen Renzhong co-founded Shouke.com, a luxury clothing website, after leaving Elong. Shouke.com was acquired by Net-a-Porter in 2011 and Chen became the president of its Chinese operations.

Beijing-based Hualian Group is one of China’s leading retailers, owning and operating hypermarkets, supermarkets, department stores and shopping malls. Founded in 1996, Beijing Hualian Group now has 121 supermarkets across 33 main cities. It is the only Chinese member of International Association of Department Stores.

Tipping Point Capital was established by Huang Shengli, former managing director of China Renaissance and founder of Modian.com, a crowdfunding website for gaming projects. The core team has over 40 years of experience in the internet industry, investment banking and M&As.

Shanghai Guohe Capital was set up in 2009 by Shanghai International Group, a state-owned financial institution. It is China’s first private fund management company to obtain the qualification of private equity fund manager. The firm currently runs multiple funds with assets worth over RMB 10bn.
