Allen died in 2018 at the age of 65, with a net worth of $20.3bn.His multibillion-dollar investment arm Vulcan Capital has backed tech startups around the world, including Spotify, Alibaba Group and Flipkart. Allen also owned the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers, the NFL's Seattle Seahawks and has a stake in the Seattle Sounders soccer team. He also donated over $2bn to philanthropic initiatives.
