Co-founder and Chairman of Tiantian Xuenong
Yan became interested in agriculture while working as a venture capitalist at Pingan Trust, the trust unit of Ping An Insurance, from 2010 to 2014. He invested in dozens of agricultural projects on behalf of his clients. Yan resigned from Pingan Trust in 2014 and founded DFS168.com, an e-commerce platform for agricultural materials. In 2017, he co-founded Tiantian Xuenong with Zhao Guang, a friend from university, and became the company's chairman. Yan received his bachelor's degree in Electronics from Sun Yat-sen University in 2006 and his MBA from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2010.

Li Qin earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Zhejiang University in 2006 and an M.Sc. from Utrecht University in 2007. Upon graduation, he worked briefly on B2B market analysis at the Vilnius office of Euromonitor International, an independent strategic market research provider. After returning to China in 2007, Li became head of R&D on cryogenics at Shanxi Energy Industries Group Co., Ltd. From November 2009 until early 2015, he served as a lecturer at Shanxi University of Finance and Economics. In February 2015, Li founded Sennotech in Shenzhen.

Made Dimas Astra Wijaya was a former assistant vice president at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He left the bank after four years in 2015 and joined Jay Jayawijayaningtyas to set up Ahlijasa. A former senior executive at Microsoft’s Bing and Expedia, Melissa Yang founded online holiday apartment leasing company Escapia, which was later acquired by HomeAway, in the US during the 2000s, and was its CTO. She graduated with a Business degree in 2015 and co-founded PasarLaut.com. She later became the Chief General Affairs Officer of Aruna, a fishery tech startup that evolved from PasarLaut.com.

Before this, she had completed a year’s stint working in circular-economy R&D projects at LEILAT Technological Center and in 2016 she completed her master’s research at the University of Barcelona. This was in the field of environmental biotechnology, namely polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA). Aymà has considerable training in biotechnology with a master’s in environmental engineering in 2016 from the University of Barcelona and a first degree in the subject from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In 2017, she also gained entry to the youth entrepreneurship acceleration program Yuzz Santander, a Santander Bank initiative.
