Jointly managed by Fondo de Fondos and Sun Mountain Capital, Mexico Ventures leads venture capital strategies in Mexico and USA. The VC offers solutions to add value to diverse business portfolios. Starting with minimum investments of US$1 million, the firm has interests in companies and other funds. It is based at the offices of the Mexican Capital Investment Corporation in Mexico City and also has operations in Santa Fe and New Mexico.

Marketing specialist Anthony Douglas have held various positions at BMW, Sony Electronics, Tim w.e. Mexico, Zuvinova and ActualSales. In 2011, he left his work as Business Manager for iPhone Applications at ActualSales to start his golfing startup, Hole19. Douglas has a Portuguese mother and an American father.

Leonardo Rico Fernandez is CEO and co-founder of Mexican biotech startup Lluvia Sólida, a water retention solution for drought conditions, where he has worked since he re-founded it in 2017. He used the same name of a company he founded in 2012 and ran with a different team, which was dissolved in 2016. He is the son of the inventor of the technology, Sergio Rico Velasco, and was instrumental in positioning the product’s use from residual waste water treatment to agritech. Rico previously worked in a private school, Indo-American College, in Tlalnepantla in the State of Mexico City as a systems administrator. He graduated as an engineer in Electrical Systems from Monterrey University, Mexico City campus.   

Stella Maris Partners is a venture capital fund based in San Pedro Garza García, Mexico with a focus on the education, healthcare and financial services sectors. It invests in Mexican and foreign startups looking to expand to Mexico and Latin America. The firm was founded by Armando Badillo in 2012 and has four other managing partners, Angel Alvarez Cadaveico, Guillermo Zambrano Martinez, Jesus O. Lanza Losa and Marcelo Antonio Benitez Akbo.

Fernando Jamie-Fernández is the co-founder of Bipi, a Spanish on-demand car rental app startup. He previously co-founded Colombia Acuanto, which offers alternative loans to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and individuals. Jamie-Fernández is currently on Bipi’s Board of Directors and is a Managing Partner at Avianta Capital in Monterrey, Mexico.

A computer scientist with nearly a decade of experience, Sam Hopkins received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico. He started his career in the United States, as a software engineer for Flashgroup in Greater Pittsburgh Area. Hopkins moved to Portugal in 2014 to work at GetSocial.io, and then Unbabel. In 2015, he became the third co-founder of CrowdProcess, the producers of James credit risk assessment platform, where he worked as CTO until September 2017. Since then, he co-founded DareData Engineering and Lisbon Data Science Academy.

Avianta Capital is a private equity and venture capital firm helmed by Fernando Jamie-Fernández, who is also co-founder of the Madrid-based Bipi, a Spanish on-demand car rental app startup. Headquartered in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico, Avianta Capital also has a satellite office in Madrid to facilitate cross-border investments and operations between Spain and Latin America. 

Ballesteros is one of Spain's most prominent serial entrepreneurs and business angels, and the man behind some of the most successful acquisitions in Spain and Latin America. Cabify, Woom Fertility and co-investments with Seaya Ventures form part of his investment portfolio. His first entrepreneurial experience started in 1997 with online classified ads platform Ocioteca.com and MundoSalud (acquired by Sanitas of Bupa Group). One of his biggest successes has been on-demand food delivery platforms, SinDelantal in Spain and SinDelantal Mexico, both acquired by Just Eat in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He is currently sole founder of Bewe SaaS for beauty and wellness professionals. 

NUMA is a Paris-based innovation hub with offices in New York, Berlin, Moscow, Barcelona, Mexico City, Casablanca in Morocco and Bengalaru, India. Supported by its 130 staff members, the company runs training and startup acceleration programs globally. To date, 300 startups have participated in NUMA's acceleration program, which was developed in partnership with the City of Paris. To date, NUMA has seen 17 exits from its investments. 

David Boronat is an internet enthusiast, with over 20 years of professional experience in the market. He is a mentor and advisor to tech startups in Spain and Latin America. He is passionate about digital strategies, UX and web analytics. Based in Mexico and the US, Boronat is currently managing two of his own businesses. In 2000, he became the CEO and founder of Multiplica, an international performance consultancy agency. In 2005, he founded Metriplica, a partner agency of Google Analytics, IBM, ComScore and Omniture. Metriplica offers digital measurement and data mining services.

General Atlantic was founded in 1980 as the investment arm of Atlantic Philanthropies, and claims to be the pioneer in growth equity. The US-based company has presence all over the world, including in Indonesia, UK, China, Mexico, and Singapore. As of August 2019, it manages US$35b in assets from global investors. Some major companies that were part of GA's portfolio includes Facebook, Alibaba, Meituan, Saxo Bank, and SEA. Edtech startup Ruangguru is GA's second investment in Indonesia; the first is MAP Boga Adiperkasa, a major F&B and lifestyle conglomerate. 

Alberto Knapp Bjeren has more than 20 years of experience in the tech startup ecosystem in Spain and internationally. He is the CEO of London-based digital tech PR agency Wunderman Thompson. He also founded the agency’s Madrid-based digital consultancy The Cocktail that has offices in London, New York, Mexico City and Bogota.Knapp is also a partner and advisor at Seaya Ventures, a Spanish VC with investments in startups like Cabify and Glovo. As an angel investor, he has participated in the pre-seed and seed rounds of Spain’s femtech WOOM and other undisclosed startups.
