Chief Product Developer of AEInnova
Roger Malet Munté is the Chief Product Developer and co-founder at AEInnova who developed AEInnova’s first patent. He is an industrial electronics engineer who graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where he has been a professor since 2004. From 2010 to 2012, Malet worked as an investigator at the Professional Center for New Technologies. He also developed a Braille keyboard for his final year university project for ONCE, the National Organization for the Blind in Spain.

Mariel Diaz Castro is Co-founder and CEO at Triditive, an additive manufacturing technology startup founded in 2016. A Colombian national and mechanical and industrial engineer, Diaz studied at the University of Oviedo prior to launching Triditive. Diaz also lectures in additive manufacturing at industrial engineering school COGITIPA, and is a European Commission Expert in Additive Manufacturing and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies. She has been a teacher of creative 3D printing at the University of Oviedo and worked at American 3D print designer Shapeways. Diaz speaks English, Chinese and Spanish.

Carles Ferrer Ramis, AEInnova’s Chief Scientific Officer, is a physicist with a doctoral degree and experience in microelectronics for space applications. He obtained his PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in Microelectronics and Electronic Systems, joining the Computer Science department in 1984 where he held an associate professor position until 2007. Between 2005 and 2016, Ferrer was the director of the Space Studies and CERES Research Center at the same university. He was also deputy director at the Catalan Space Studies Institute (IEEC) and is a researcher at the National Microelectronics Center's Barcelona Microelectronics Institute.

Cornell and Stanford-educated Fulbright scholar João Barros is a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Porto and teaches in the MBA program at the Porto Business School. He has also held visiting appointments at MIT and Carnegie Mellon. He has co-founded two startups, Streambolico and Veniam, of which he is also CEO. Between 2009 and 2012, Barros served as National Director of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program, a five-year international partnership funded by the Portuguese Foundation of Science and Technology. He stayed on until 2018, when he left Intel and returned to Indonesia to establish Xurya, a solar power company. Working with longtime friend Gusmantara Himawan and former East Ventures associate Philip Effendy, Widjonarko now works as Xurya’s director of technology.
