James Wiryadi graduated in 2014 from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The chemical engineer went on to read a master's in Real Estate at New York University.He gained work experience in finance through internships at OCBC, PwC and other financial advisory firms before returning to Indonesia in 2017. In 2018, he became an analyst at CapitaLand Indonesia, a local branch of the Singapore real estate developer. In June 2019, he left CapitaLand to focus on building the new equity crowdfunding platform CrowdDana.

CICC Jiatai Fund (RMB M&A Fund) is managed by the private equity department of China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC). It focuses on industrial consolidation, growth enterprise and cross-border investment opportunities. 

Previously known as Incubate Capital Partners, Incubate Fund was founded in 1999 by Tohru Akaura and partners. Focusing on providing early stage funding, its portfolio includes more than 120 companies. It also hosts Incubate Camp, a seed-stage startup acceleration program.

Established in 2012, Cyzone Angel Fund is an angel venture investment fund subsidiary of Cyzone, which runs the Chuangyebang magazine. They focus on early stage investment in internet, mobile internet, digital media, hardware and life style sectors.

58 Industry Fund is the VC arm of China’s leading local services provider 58 Group. Founded in 2018, the fund mainly invests in early- and mid-stage startups working on urban lifestyle and education & training. 

GenBridge Capital is a private equity fund started by former executives from e-retailer JD.com and TPG Capital in 2016. It raised $500m from JD.com, international corporations, sovereign wealth funds and family funds. GenBridge Capital mainly invests in the consumer goods sector, including new-generation brands and offline stores. 

Enlightened Hospitality Investments (EHI) is a New York-based growth fund launched by Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). The fund leverages USHG's network of chefs, IT, marketers, and industry experts.Active since the early ’90s, it currently has $220m under management. To date, EHI has made eight investments bringing technology into the hospitality sector through companies operating in the food and beverage space.

Ezhil Subbian studied industrial biotechnology at Anna University in India. She then went to the US to complete two PhDs in biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology at the Oregon Health & Science University and from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick. She was a research assistant at both universities.While in the US, she was also a research scientist at Gevo Inc and at Vollum Institute. In 2008, she became a scientist and technical lead at pharma Codexis in California. In 2011, she worked at San Francisco-based Kumar Investments as an entrepreneur and biotech consultant.In 2012, she founded biotech startup String Inc while on a nine-month Startup Leadership Program in Silicon Valley. In June 2013, she and husband returned to India and formed a new company String Bio to continue working on the alternative protein powder project for animal feed production.

Yuexiu Industrial Fund is a fund management company founded by Yuexiu Group in Guangzhou in August 2011. It works as an investment arm of Yuexiu Group and invests mainly in emerging industries. As at November 2018, it had RMB 50 billion under its management.

Chongqing Environmental Fund was established by China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Chongqing Municipal Government in June 2015. As of late December 2018, the fund has invested RMB 448m in 28 projects. It has launched 13 funds with a total capital of about RMB 8bn. 

Founded in 2008, Bertelsmann Asia Investments (BAI) is an evergreen fund wholly owned by Bertelsmann focusing on private equity investment in the Greater China Region. With over US$1 billion under management, BAI mainly invests in high-growth startups in industries including consumer upgrades, mobile sea, online education, financial services, mobile health and enterprise services.

Established in Shanghai in 2011, PreAngel Fund has set up six funds with a total of RMB 600 million in assets under management. So far, the firm has invested RMB 300 million in over 300 Chinese and American tech companies in the fields of mobile internet, hardware, healthcare, finance, insurance, e-commerce, sports, among others.
