CTO and co-founder of X1 Wind / PivotBuoy
Carlos Casanova is the CTO and co-founder of X1 Wind, a company developing a downwind turbine technology to reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) in offshore wind plants, named the PivotBuoy system. He conceived the concept that paved the way for PivotBuoy in 2012 during his MSc studies in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
