Alberto Gómez Toribio is a computer engineer and an influential blockchain expert in Spain. In 2013, he co-founded Coinffeine, a P2P cryptocurrency exchange platform and the first to on-board a banking investor. Coinffeine consulted institutions including the Bank of Spain, the US Federal Reserve and the European Commission during development of the platform. In 2015, Toribio established the blockchain division within the Barrabés Group to launch blockchain startups projects. He has also worked as a technology expert for Sony Entertainment and Telefonica R&D. Currently he is working on projects developing blockchain strategies to identify business opportunities and new innovative product design.

He made his first disclosed investment in 2016, as an angel investor of Spanish femtech WOOM’s pre-seed and seed funding rounds. He is currently the sole founder of Bewe SaaS for beauty and wellness professionals.Ballesteros started his first enterprise in 1997, an online classified ads platform and also MundoSalud that was acquired by Sanitas of Bupa Group.  Cabify and co-investments with Seaya Ventures also form part of his investment portfolio. Adevinta Ventures is the investment arm of the Norway-based Adevinta, a local digital marketplace group operating in 15 countries in Europe, Latin America and North Africa, with 1.5bn monthly visitors. Its leading local brands include Leboncoin in France, InfoJobs in Spain, Subito in Italy and Jofogás in Hungary. In Spain, where its headquarters is in Barcelona, the company includes an umbrella of successful online classified platforms such as Infojobs, Fotocasa, Habitaclia, Milanuncios and Vibbo, counting over 18m active users.Adevinta Ventures invests in startups focused on marketplace and platform space specifically in verticals such as mobility, education and real estate. The fund typically invests in Series A and B rounds backing them also with marketing and data support as well as mentorship. Initial investments go up to €5m with follow-on capacity. 

Alejandro Artacho Amichis has degrees in Business Administration and Law from Spanish universities and the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE).He studied in China on an exchange program and got a grant from the Chinese government to learn Mandarin at UIBE in Beijing in 2010. He returned to Spain and started Abendium in 2011, an import and export business between Spain and China. He also established travel agency Aledasia in 2012 to market luxury trips to rich Chinese tourists. The Spotahome idea was resurrected by Artacho in 2014 after working in a property company in London.

The Repsol Foundation, part of the Repsol Group, is committed to improving social and environmental outcomes.Repsol has launched a €50m social investment fund to be used in developing a portfolio of social enterprises focused on energy transition and social inclusion of vulnerable groups in Spain. The firm invested €9,5m during 2018.
