BRI Ventures is the corporate VC arm of Indonesian state-owned bank BRI. It was established in 2019 and brought in Nicko Widjaja, who previously worked for MDI Ventures (another state-owned CVC linked to Telkom) as their CEO. They have a stake in the state-linked e-wallet company LinkAja as well as bill aggregator service AyoPop. Their investment activities began in earnest in 2020, with their participation in TaniGroup's Series A+ and Investree's Series C rounds.

Akbar has also been the chairman of Takeri Asia Manufacturing in Bandung since September 2012.

Luckily, he was 16 and escaped with only a penalty fine whilst living with his family in Singapore. He left to study in Australia and eventually became an IT professional. Wenas graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s in Computer Science from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Canada. He founded software developer PhaseDev, gaming platform Bouncity and e-book distributor WayangForce. In 2011, he co-founded Tiket.com but stepped down as CEO after the acquisition by Blibli in 2017.
