Established in 2002, Hong Kong Stock Exchange-listed NWS Holdings’ main businesses are in infrastructure and service. Its main shareholder is New World Development. Henry Cheng currently serves as chairman and executive director of NWS Holdings. He is the eldest son of Dr Cheng Yu-tung, the founder of New World Development, a Hong Kong-based conglomerate engaged in property development, infrastructure and services. 

Star Wars fan and robotics engineer Gonçalo Cabrita was the CEO and co-founder of agtech CoolFarm for over three years until September 2018, when the company became insolvent. He has a master’s in Automation and Robotics from the University of Coimbra in Portugal. He was a research engineer at his alma mater's Institute of Systems and Robotics for two years until 2011. Since then, he has been working on his PhD, researching plume tracking and odor source detection algorithms for mobile robots.

After receiving his master’s in Automation from Tsinghua University in 2002, Yu joined the Machine Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, where he obtained his doctorate in Engineering in 2006. Yu was a co-founder of VocallQ, a UK-based voice technology startup. Apple acquired the firm in 2015. Yu returned to China in 2008. In 2012, he set up the SpeechLab, which specializes in intelligent speech recognition technology R&D, at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a professor at SJTU.

David Conde is a serial entrepreneur from Galicia. He holds an executive MBA, a Fintech certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and participated in the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Program.He was one of the first European financial planners in Spain and is well-recognized in the financial sector, having over 10 years of experience in private banking roles. In 2015, he co-founded Senseitrade, a revolutionary technology that captures sentiments about the stock market from social networks, predicting stock exchange evolution with a success rate of 87%.Since 2017, he has been CEO and co-founder of Coinscrap, an app that facilitates micro-savings by rounding up purchases made with credit cards to the nearest euro. 

Núria Pastor is the CEO and co-founder of HumanITcare, a telemedicine platform for remote patient monitoring using real-world data and AI to treat patients affected by chronic diseases and also to accelerate drug development and clinical trials. Under the helm of Pastor the startup has doubled its user base and is poised to become a leading player in digital health. Pastor holds a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Barcelona and a Masters in Research in neuroscience from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Prior to HumanITcare, she worked as a researcher at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute and the University of Barcelona. She has also worked as Business Analyst in EIT Health and has mentored at the European Commission.

Portuguese national Sofia Nunes holds a bachelor’s in psychology from the Higher Institute of Applied Psychology in Lisbon and a master’s in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently head of Talent & Culture at Mambu, a startup she co-founded, where she supports a growing team of engineers, application specialists, salespeople and marketers. In 2010, Nunes worked as a Human-Computer Interaction researcher at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology.

He Chang (b. 1982) is the founder of the popular Huang Taiji, an internet venture specializing in traditional Chinese breakfast fare and food delivery. He studied design in Denmark and worked at Google China, Baidu and leading online travel booking company Qunar. He believes that the success of a startup depends on three criteria: the founder’s abilities and experience, the strength of the founding team, and the third, which is also the most important, societal trends.

Eduardo Saverin is a Brazilian tech entrepreneur and angel investor who is most famous for co-founding Facebook. A skilled investor, he reportedly made US$300,000 from trading while he was a Harvard undergraduate. He was also a co-founder and partner at B Capital Group that invested in logistics startup Ninja Van. In 2015, he invested in Indonesian e-commerce site Bilna and joined another funding round when Bilna merged with Moxy to form Orami.

Huang is co-founder and CEO of TTPOD, a cross-platform music player. He co-founded TTPOD in 2007, which, by 2013, had accumulated 200 million users and was subsequently sold to Alibaba Group. In 2015, Huang became COO of Baofeng Mojing, a VR device creator controlled by Shenzhen-listed internet company Baofeng Group. In 2016, Baofeng Mojing sold 2 million VR devices. Huang participated in Kuaipeilian's seed funding round.

Arthur Kosten is an adviser for Booking.com and other companies like Festicket and eVentures Africa Fund.  He was the former CMO and co-founder of Booking.com. Together with other business angels and VCs, he generally invests about US$200,000 to US$1 million in various marketplace platforms for expansion in Europe. He is also an investor and board member of rentalcars.com, catawiki.com, treatwell, 8fit.com, festicket and healthcare.com.

Albert Domingo is a Spanish entrepreneur and investor. He is the founder and CEO NexTReT, which was established in 1992 to provide IT systems and infrastructure services. Domingo is also an active business angel, backing startups as a partner investor in Barcelona-based venture builder Itnig's network, which has seen two exits, Gym For Less and Playfulbet. He studied computer engineering and also management development at the IESE Business School in Barcelona.  

Patrick Walujo is the co-founder of Indonesian hedge fund Northstar Group. He had previously worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in London and New York before moving to Tokyo to join Pacific Capital Group. Ever since establishing Northstar Group in 2003, Patrick has overseen acquisitions and investments in notable Indonesian enterprises, including minimarket chain Alfamart, movie theater franchise Blitz Megaplex (now CGV Blitz after an investment from Korea's CJ CGV chain) and Equator Securities.

A co-founder and angel investor of HomeRun, Cheng Xiaohua graduated with a major in Automation at Changsha Railway University in 1983. The university is now known as Railway Campus, Central South University. From 1984 to 1988, he spent his postgraduate years at Graduate School, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and earned a master’s degree in Automation. He co-founded Netac with Deng Guoshun in 1999 and became the chairman in September 2010.

Victor Mayoral Vilches is a co-founder and advisor at Alias Robotics in Spain. He also works as CEO at Acutronic Robotics, a branch of the Swiss company where he was also CTO. Together with his brother, he co-founded Erle Robotics in 2012 and became its MD and CTO. Erle was sold to Acutronic Robotics in 2016 for €4million.He has a PhD in Bio-Robotics from the Italian Institute of Technology in Tuscany and a Computer Science degree from King Juan Carlos University, Madrid. A member of the Spanish National Robotics Committee, Victor Vilches is experienced in robotics and AI.

Professor and Researcher at the University of Minho and the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Davide Carneiro received his PhD in Informatics from the University of Minho.
