Feng Shicong graduated from Peking University (PKU) in 2003 with a degree in Computer Science. He was a weighted member of the PKU Sky Network search engine program (the predecessor of Baidu) and has years of experience in the sectors of NLP, big data and information retrieval. Feng developed an acronym search and automatic disambiguation vertical search engine during his time at HP China Research Institute. He has more than 50 patents and over 20 papers published in academic journals such as TKDE and CIKM. Feng is a founding member of Miaozhen Systems and co-founder of MINING LAMP technology. Bailian.ai is his third company.

Adrian Sugandhi is CEO and co-founder of Sonicboom Indonesia, a platform that uses sound waves to transmit data with no need for an internet connection. He is also a commissioner – supervising management policies – and co-founder of PT. Elite Digital Solusindo, the parent company of Sonicboom. He has a Master of Science in Financial Engineering and a bachelor's degrees in financial analysis and modelling from Claremont Graduate University as well as a master's in computer science from the University of California, Irvine.

Oscar Serra is a co-founder and co-CEO as well as a big-data scientist at Deep Solutions, a producer of deep neural network software for image recognition. He combines this role with a multi-disciplinary management role in his family's €15m-revenue industrial machinery company Serra Workshops, where he has worked since 2010. Prior to this, he worked at Honda Research Institute Europe in Germany as a software programmer for one year, and as a PhD researcher in computer vision, deep learning and neural networks at Barcelona's Institute of Robotics and Industrial Information Systems (IRI). Serra has a total of five Master's degrees: Programming, Robotics, Neuroscience, Computer Vision, and an MBA. He has studied at Hult International Business School in San Francisco,  Lumière University Lyon 2 in France, at Barcelona's IRI and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. 

Dimosthenis Karatzas is Senior Research Fellow and Associate Director at the Computer Vision Centre (CVC) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He specializes in computer vision, document image analysis and color science. In 2007, he co-founded TruColour in the UK, where he currently is a member of the board of directors. In 2013, he was awarded the IAPR/ICDAR Young Investigator Award “for outstanding service and innovative research in human perception-based document analysis.” Karatzas also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool and University of Southampton in the UK. Since 2019, he has been part of the co-founding team of Allread MLT, a deep-tech startup that converts text, symbols and codes to Big Data using computer vision technology, character recognition and machine learning.

With a vision to create a Silicon Valley-like venture eco-system in East Asia, he also founded MOVIDA JAPAN in 2009. He also founded Mistletoe Inc as CEO in 2013 to support entrepreneurs and provide startup ecosystem development activities.

SyndicateRoom is a Cambridge-based VC authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), founded in 2013 by Gonçalo de Vasconcelos and Tom Britton, after studying together at the University of Cambridge. The company was initially started as an equity crowdfunding platform allowing its members to co-invest with experienced angel investors and high-net-worth individuals. Each investor is offered the same investment opportunities as lead investors, with the same share class and price per share.In July 2019, Gonçalo de Vasconcelos stepped down as CEO and was replaced by Graham Schwikkard. Carlos Callejero is co-founder and CEO at Spanish IoT and data startup SensoWave, as well as its brand Digitanimal, aimed at remote farming, where he has worked full-time since 2014. Prior to this, Callejero established one of Spain's first sensor tech companies, co-founding Alfa Imaging in 2006 and working there as Technical Manager until its closure in 2014. The company produced body scanners updated periscopes for Spanish submarines and autonomous sensors to protect borders and infrastructure, leading to Callejero becoming one of Spain's IoT pioneers. Callejero holds a first degree in physics from the University of Zaragoza, an MSc in Applied Modern Optics from Reading University (UK) and a PhD in Millimeter Waves from the same institution. These latter studies led to his work with sensors with Spain's  Army Research Laboratory upon his return to Spain. He also briefly worked at telecom company Telefonica as an optical engineer.  

Niels Wielaard is the Dutch CEO, founder and co-owner of Satelligence, a SaaS platform using satellite data and AI to help corporates improve their supply chain sustainability and track environmental risks. Before founding Satelligence in 2016, he spent 14 years at earth-monitoring company SarVision, which is a spin-off of Wageningen University in Utrecht, where he was a senior project manager and, previously, a remote sensing and geo-information specialist. Wielaard holds a master’s in Forestry from Wageningen University and has always been passionate about forest sustainability. His other work experience includes one year as a GIS research analyst at another Utrecht-based initiative, the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, as part of a post-master’s research project developing a new mapping methodology for the design of biological corridors. He also completed stints during his studies working on pilot forestry-based carbon offset projects at an NGO and in forest certification research for the Dutch space agency, Space Netherlands.
