Chief Scientific Officer of AEInnova
Carles Ferrer Ramis, AEInnova’s Chief Scientific Officer, is a physicist with a doctoral degree and experience in microelectronics for space applications. He obtained his PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in Microelectronics and Electronic Systems, joining the Computer Science department in 1984 where he held an associate professor position until 2007. Between 2005 and 2016, Ferrer was the director of the Space Studies and CERES Research Center at the same university. He was also deputy director at the Catalan Space Studies Institute (IEEC) and is a researcher at the National Microelectronics Center's Barcelona Microelectronics Institute.

Ramón Voces Merayo is a co-founder of AEInnova, serving as its Communications Officer. He is also a professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and the Salesians School. Voces began his career as a web developer before joining the UAB team. His major research interests are related to Internet technologies, in particular KM, UX, SEO/SEM and Accessibility. He received the best academic record award from the Association of Telecommunications Engineers (COETTC) and was earlier awarded a scholarship to collaborate with the MARTA transportation project. His final project involved the design of an automatic validation system for infotainment devices for carmaker SEAT, where Peñalver has been a technical project leader.

Nicolàs was formerly a hardware developer at TNL and is currently a PhD student. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems and a degree in Computer Engineering, both from the Autonomous University Barcelona. He has also studied at the University of Turin in Italy.

Patrick Synge has lived in Spain for eight years since he left Britain after studying music at Warwick School. He has worked in sales since graduating from the University of the West of England. He started his sales career at Euro Sports Media and deVere Group. Synge was the head of sales at food-delivery startup Degustabox before joining Eliport as co-founder and director of partnerships. He and co-founder Dmitry Skorinko created Eliport to solve the last-mile delivery problem by using autonomous delivery robots in local neighborhoods. Since March 2019, Synge has also joined Alias Robotics as VP for sales.
