Magna cum laude University of Southern California (USC) graduate, William Utomo, financed his studies through the A. Robert DeHart Memorial Scholarship and the Joseph Drown Foundation Scholarship. He co-founded IDNtimes with his brother, Winston Utomo, and became the COO of IDN Media group in June 2014. Born in 1989, Try Wibowo has joined entrepreneurship coaching programs since his second year at Madiun Public High School. Eager to follow in the footsteps of the successful, local entrepreneurs; Try decided to start his first business venture in 2008 after leaving high school. The success of his Assistant Nurse Vocational Training Center motivated him to consider setting up an online nursing services agency to provide employment for the local graduates, nurses and other healthcare workers. The young entrepreneur, from Ngawi Regency in East Java, invested IDR 50 million to launch Insan Medika in 2013. He became the CEO of the newly incorporated PT Insan Medika Persada in December 2015.

Nganjuk native Hestyriani Anisa Widyaningsih (known as Nisa) was one of the few students from the rural regency to pursue tertiary education at the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta, where she majored in Japanese Literature. After graduation, Nisa and a UGM friend Rushan, decided to set up IWAK; a crowdfunding platform to kickstart commercial fish farming businesses to help poor families to improve their livelihoods in Rushan’s home village of Kebon Agung in Nganjuk. Nisa also works in public relations for another company, Otoman.

Kufed is part of the e-commerce company, PT Hood Digital Asia, which was previously known as PT KlikToday, an Indonesian version of daily deals Groupon. Andrew was COO of KlikToday.

As a student, Timmy initiated UI Faculty of Economy’s first social service program that has since become an annual program where freshman students live and work in villages. He was also the program coordinator for UI’s Indonesia Leadership Development Program. Timmy had worked as a researcher at Indonesia Social Entrepreneurship Association (AKSI) and as an assistant to the CEO at Rumah Perubahan (literally, “House of Change”).
