Co-Stone is one of the earliest venture capital firms in China, with about RMB 30 billion in assets under management today. It operates growth-stage investments and pre-IPO financings, focusing on TMT, biotechnology, consumer and services sectors in China. It has invested in more than 80 companies, where Co-Stone was the lead investor in over 60% of the financings.

Led by media and entertainment veteran Frank Yang (Yang Xingnong), ANTS Venture Capital conducts early-stage investments in Chinese companies from the TMT, culture & entertainment, healthcare, consumption & retail and new energy sectors. It expects its selected companies to become market leaders in their industries, with a CAGR of at least 30% and the potential to go public in two years.

Based in Singapore, Golden Equator Capital manages investment funds in real estate, currency and technology businesses. Its Technology and Innovation Fund has backed various up-and-coming Southeast Asian startups, such as the internship job board Glints, dating app Paktor and affordable fashion marketplace Sale Stock. Golden Equator also provides industry expertise, mentoring and other supporting services to the companies in its investment portfolio.

Seedrocket 4Founders Capital is a business accelerator based in Barcelona. Established in 2017, it has invested in 60 startups including six exits. The accelerator provides promising startups with initial funding of €30,000–€50,000. Additional finance of up to €700,000 per company may also be available for the lifetime of the investment, in conjuction with other business angels and partners.

UMG Indonesia is a subsidiary of the Myanmar-based UMG conglomerate that was founded in 1998. The Indonesian company is a hardware and machine distributor, with property interests in Indonesia. In 2017, UMG provided seed funding to fishery tech startup Aruna.

The earliest backer of Xiaomi and an early investor in YY, Morningside Venture Capital started in 2008 and is part of HK real estate tycoon Ronnie Chan's Morningside Group. Today, led by Richard Liu, the early-stage investor has over US$1.5 billion under management and counts among its other successful investments Sohu, Ctrip, Xunlei and China Distance Education. It has offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.

Indexa Capital is Spain's first automated investment manager offering index funds. Its operations are based on passive investment management. The firm's objective is to offer diversified and transparent investments with commissions that are 80% lower than those charged by the financial sector. This is achieved through index funds investments and a machine that automatically assigns clients a portfolio from the available options, based on criteria such as the client's age, income and risk aversion, promising returns that are 3% higher than the average returns offered by banks and funds.The company was founded in 2015 by Unai Ansejo Barra, François Derbaix and Ramón Blanco, all of whom have extensive experience in the digital and investments ecosystems.  

Co-founded by Fabrice Grinder, a French tech entrepreneur and former consultant at McKinsey & Company, FJ Labs is a New York-based VC firm focused on online marketplaces. Co-founder Jose Marin is based in London. With the mantra “Entrepreneurs funding entrepreneurs,” FJ Labs does not take board seats. It has backed over 500 entrepreneurs, built over 20 companies and managed dozens of exits.To date, 58% of its investment portfolio companies are based in the US and Canada (mostly the US), 25% in Europe, 6% in Brazil, 2% in India and 9% in other countries. The VC is also increasing its presence in Brazil and India, as well as looking at smaller markets in Columbia, Algeria and Kenya. FJ Labs currently has 488 active investments, mainly at seed and pre-seed level, typically investing $390,000 at seed level and $220,000 at pre-seed level. Recent investments in August 2021 include participation in the $8m Series A round of Brazilian corporate benefits marketplace Caju and the $23m funding round of Nigerian vehicle marketplace and financing startup Moove.

With offices in Beijing and Hong Kong, Primavera Capital Group focuses on private equity investment and helps businesses with corporate restructuring and non-performing assets handling. It was founded in 2010 by Fred Hu (Hu Zuliu), who worked at Goldman Sachs from 1997–2010 and served as the bank’s chairman for Greater China from 2008–2010.

BASF Venture Capital is the investment arm of the BASF Group. Founded in 2001, the VC also has offices in Ludwigshafen, San Francisco, Boston, Austin, Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Mumbai and Tel Aviv.Global investments include stakes in young, fast-growing companies involved in agritech, chemistry, new materials, sustainability, digitalization and disruptive business models. The firm also holds shares in technology funds that target enterprises in Asia, North America and South America.

Bonsai VC invests in Spanish startups with global ambitions and mobile-focused business models. The founders and managers, including Javier Cebrián Monereo, Javier Cebrián Sagarriga, Luis González Buendía and Rafael Gutierrez de Calderón; own approximately 60% of the VC share capital.

LC Ventures is a Lisbon-based VC specializing in pre-seed and seed investments, mainly in Portugal-based startups and with a focus on promoting regional growth. Established in 2015, it has €11.5m under management in three funds, two which are exclusive to Portuguese startups. It has invested in more than 40 companies to date. Recently it has invested in Botcliq, a blockchain e-marketplace for wild fish trading, and in Finnish cleantech company Solved. It also participated in the €2m Series A round of Portuguese online tech employment agency in March 2020.Its investment portfolio currently includes 32 tech startups, a majority of which are based in Portugal.

Founded in Boston in 2020, General Catalyst backs startups across all market segements at every growth stage, making seed stage investments between $500,000 and $2m. It has backed some of the most successful startups including Airbnb, Stripe and Deliveroo, and, to date, has invested in 243 companies, with 193 in its portfolio currently.  A prolific investor, often making 10 investments or more per month, its most recent investments include in the July 2021 $5m seed round of US medtech, Evvy, designers of a vaginal microbiome test. In the same week, the investor participated in the $150m Series B round of Remote, a Silicon Valley-based platform for remote worker management and administration. 

Endeavor Catalyst is part of the global investment company Endeavor. Launched in 2012 and based in New York, it supports the equity funding efforts of Endeavour entrepreneurs with third party investors. Its portfolio investments had a total capital value of over US$100 million and it specializes in mid-stage investments across sectors and different countries, with significant investment in transportation startups to date. In 2020, it participated in the second €12m part of the €23m Series A round of EV charging hardware startup, Wallbox, with an undisclosed investment. Other recent investments in 2020 include in the US$40m Series D round of Egyptian healthtech Vezeeta and in the undisclosed seed round of Turkish fintech Figopara.

Based in Sao Paulo, Maya Capital was co-founded in 2018 by Lara Lemann and Mônica Saggioro. The VC manages two funds that invest in early-stage startups in Latin America. The first is worth $26m and the second raised $15m in October 2020. Half of the amount raised will be invested in new startups, while the balance will fund Series A rounds of portfolio startups.Together with co-investors like Kaszek Ventures and Y Combinator, the VC has invested in 25 startups in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico. Investments include plant-based foodtech NotCo, the car-rental operator Kovi and online education platform Trybe. Maya aims to increase its portfolio to 35 startups, focusing on post-Covid opportunities in diverse sectors like health, finance, mobility and logistics.
