GP Bullhound is a financial advisory and investment firm founded in 1999 with offices in London, San Francisco, Stockholm, Berlin, Manchester, Paris, Hong Kong, Madrid and New York. To date, the firm has undertaken over 530 investments worldwide, with its latest fund raising €65 million in 2018. GP Bullhound's 18 exits to date include successful companies like Spotify and Avito. It has invested in renowned companies like Slack and Wallapop. Its recent investments include a Series A round in customer service platform Nivo and a Series D round in productivity software, Partnerize.

Paul Allen was an American business magnate and investor. Best known as Microsoft Corporation co-founder with his childhood friend Bill Gates, he left the company after eight years after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease. Allen died in 2018 at the age of 65, with a net worth of $20.3bn.His multibillion-dollar investment arm Vulcan Capital has backed tech startups around the world, including Spotify, Alibaba Group and Flipkart. Allen also owned the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers, the NFL's Seattle Seahawks and has a stake in the Seattle Sounders soccer team. He also donated over $2bn to philanthropic initiatives.

Accel, formerly known as Accel Partners, is a US venture capital firm,  with its headquarters in Palo Alto, California, and additional offices in San Francisco. It also operates funds for Europe and Israel, with offices in London, UK, and has funds for India and China. It was founded in 1983 and has backed some of the most successful startups including Facebook, Spotify and Dropbox, among hundreds of others.  It typically invests at the Series A and B levels, but can get involved from seed level, and has seen 253 exits from its portfolio to date, across varied market segments.

Global technology investment firm Atomico was set up in 2006 by Skype co-founder Niklas Zennström. Since then, it has made over 140 investments with a focus on the European market. Atomico’s team of investors includes founders of six billion-dollar companies, and operational leaders at companies such as Skype, Google, Uber, Facebook and Spotify. The London-based investment company has managed 27 exits to date including Supercell, Fab, the Climate Corporation and Rovio Entertainment. Based in Brussels, Astanor Ventures is an impact investor specializing in foodtech, agritech and blue ocean economy with focus on the environment and sustainability. Founded in 2017 by Eric Archambeau and George Coelho, Astanor has invested in more than 20 startups in Europe and the US. Archambeau and Coelho launched Balderton Capital in Europe and were early investors in Spotify, Betfair and LoveFilm.Astanor invests according to the principles for responsible investment (PRI), prioritizing technology-led solutions that connect the value chain, innovate on nutrition and accelerate regenerative agriculture. In November 2020, the firm closed fundraising for its $325m Global Impact Fund focused on food and agriculture technology that comply with the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Lakestar is an international VC firm headquartered in Zurich. Founded in 2012 by Klaus Hommels, the VC has been an active early-stage investor since 2000. Its first fund was established in 2013 to invest in fast-growing tech startups across Europe and the US like Skype, Spotify, Facebook and Airbnb. The firm has offices in Zurich, Berlin, London, New York and Hong Kong with total investments of more than €1bn. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic in February 2020, Lakestar managed to raise a total of $735m for early and growth stage funds to be invested mainly in Europe. One-third of the funds will be designated to early-stage investments and two-thirds to growth-stage companies to drive international expansion. Part of the capital will also be used to strengthen the leadership team.

Goldman Sachs is one of the biggest investment banking and financial services group in the world. The firm went public in 1999 under the ticker NYSE:GS. To date, Goldman Sachs has raised seven funds, their latest in May 2019 for a total of $4.4bn. Based in New York, the private banking group has made 788 investments with 256 exits. Investments include tech unicorns such as Spotify, Square, Zipline, Xiaomi and the Alibaba Group.Its 2019 annual report showed that Goldman Sachs generated over $36.55 bn in net revenues, with 10% ROE and 10.6% ROTE. As of mid-July 2020, the firm has a market capitalization of $74.33 bn. Goldman Sachs has offices in over 30 countries with major operations in four sectors: investment banking, global markets, asset management and consumer & wealth management.

Founders Fund is a San Francisco-based VC set up in 2005 that currently has more than $3bn of assets under management. It invests across the tech, aerospace and biotechnology sectors and has been an early backer of some of the most impactful tech companies including Airbnb, Facebook, and SpaceX. It has a key interest in solving major problems such as the opioid crisis in the US.Its recent investments include in the June 2021 $85m Series C round of Portuguese home physiotherapy tech solution SWORD Health, the world’s fastest-growing musculoskeletal solution, and in the July 2021 $80m Series C round of residential real estate platform Sundae. The company has managed over 80 exits including Facebook and Spotify and has made over 500 investments, leading approximately one-third of these. 

Founded in San Francisco in 2009, Eniac Ventures is an early-stage investor in diverse sectors. It currently has 59 startups in its portolio. The vast majority of its exits have been via acquisitions by larger companies such as Anchor sold to Spotify. The VC also invested in Airbnb and Medallia that went public in 2020 and 2019 respectively.Recent investments in June 2021 include co-leading the $4.2m seed round of US mental healthcare platform Nirvana Health and participation in the $30m Series B round of Briq, a US financial planning and workflow automation platform for the construction industry. The VC also joined in the Series A round of Vence, the California-based producer of smart wearables for livestock management.

Founded by pioneering tech investor Ozi Amanat in 2015, K2 Global is a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley and Singapore. Amanat, who moved to Singapore in 2012, is one of Twitter’s early backers, raising $25m to invest in the social media startup that later went public in 2013. The Harvard graduate in psychology and economics also invested in Uber, Spotify and Alibaba during his career as a venture capitalist. Amanat is the chief investment officer of K2 VC, K2 Global and Singapore-based Spice Global controlled by Indian billionaire B K Modi.In 2017, K2 also announced a $183m VC fund focusing on early-stage startups that aim to address global challenges. The majority of K2 limited partners are based outside the US in countries like Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
