Established in 1958, VERSO Capital is a boutique merchant banking and financial services firm based in Luxembourg. It also has offices in Geneva, Fribourg, Vaduz, Dubai, Singapore and BVI. VERSO specializes in sectors like education, food and renewables. Since 2011, the firm has invested over $700bn in venture capital in the global startup ecosystem. Funds worth over $245m were pumped into climatech, foodtech and biotech sectors since 2017. In February 2021, it merged with Swiss alternative asset manager ALDINI Capital that was also founded in 1958 and based in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. VERSO will leverage the expertise of ALDINI in hedge funds, private equity and real estate.

Its portfolio includes fast-growing startups like Heura, Meatable, Livekindly and Mission Barns. It also works with investment partners like Kale United, Mile High Vegan Network, Vegan Entrepreneurs Network and GlassWall Syndicate.

Joshua Kevin is one of the youngest active Indonesian startup founders. Prior to graduating from Universitas Bina Nusantara in 2013, he had worked briefly at East Ventures and Tech in Asia where he was involved in various startup-related events. After graduating with a degree in Information Systems, he founded Bridge Inc, a consultancy that helped startups to expand into Indonesia. The business was later pivoted into Talenta to provide B2B human resource management software solutions.

In 2012, he established 8villages with Indonesian social media entrepreneur Sanny Gaddafi. Mathieu later left the startup and moved to the United Kingdom to pursue other ventures. He is currently the managing director of Maison du Pain, a London bakery with buyers from all over Europe.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Technology from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia.

Patrick Synge has lived in Spain for eight years since he left Britain after studying music at Warwick School. He has worked in sales since graduating from the University of the West of England. He started his sales career at Euro Sports Media and deVere Group. Synge was the head of sales at food-delivery startup Degustabox before joining Eliport as co-founder and director of partnerships. He and co-founder Dmitry Skorinko created Eliport to solve the last-mile delivery problem by using autonomous delivery robots in local neighborhoods. Since March 2019, Synge has also joined Alias Robotics as VP for sales.

She graduated in business, economics and international development at the University of Amsterdam in 2004. She also completed a master’s in political economy of development at the School for Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London in 2005.In 2006, she worked as an economist at the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources in Rwanda where she realized there was an urgent need for small-scale farming insurance to protect the local farmers’ livelihoods against natural hazards.In 2008, she joined Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture (SFSA) in Kenya, where she initiated a pilot Kilimo Salama in Nairobi as program director. The program was a success, starting with 185 farmers taking up index insurance and growing to be the largest in Africa with over 185,000 participants. Goslinga also met and started working with Thomas Njeru, the lead actuary for UAP Insurance for the Kilimo project.In 2013, with investors backing her project, she developed and patented a system and method for providing a site-related weather insurance contract.
